Once the food had been served and eaten by the household of people, Sakari ate alone. He was still supervised by Eji while he ate, which made him feel extremely awkward. He didn’t dare to look up across the large dining table to the man who was watching him from the opposite end. He still couldn’t really believe that he had gotten this lucky, but he knew there was a lot of work ahead of him.
Eji’s younger brother seemed rather childish and senseless, but Eji seemed infatuated in him, pandering to his every want and need. Already Ivar was rambling on and on about the cute Keijo who he went out on a date with.
‘At least Keijo is completing his mission fast…’
Was Sakari not doing his job well enough? Had he been out of commission for too long and now he was sluggish? No… Logically he knew that Eji’s shell was going to be a tough one to break. Ivar and Keijo would be playing a stalling game, and Sakari’s would be more of a waiting game, slowly cracking at Eji’s trust until he would hopefully let him into his inner circle.
But… Sakari hadn’t learned anything about Eji yet… he hadn’t even ‘learned’ his name.
He finished his meal and took it to the sink, followed by Eji like a vulture. He looked back at Eji. “Should I clean the dishes?”
“If you want to. If not, I’ll get someone else to do it.”
Sakari shrugged. It was in his routine to clean after he cooked. He started running hot water into the sink and cleaned, tuning the rest of the world out. Once all the dishes were cleaned, he turned back to Eji, who was still watching over him.
“Anything else, sir?”
Eji seemed to think for a second, then shook his head. “You can go to your room.”
Sakari nodded and started making his way towards his room. This time, he wasn’t followed by Eji, but by two different bodyguards. He assumed that they would be the ones guarding him while he slept. As he arrived in the bedroom, he realised that he had not brought any clothing to change into or any means to clean himself…
He checked in the bathroom to see small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, new toothpaste and a new toothbrush. How convenient. He still would have to sleep in the clothes he had come with… but he didn’t mind. They were comfortable clothes.
He showered quickly, only staying in there for enough time to wash his body and his hair. When he got out, he went to the freshly made bed and pulled his phone out of his pocket. He would have to hide this phone… or Eji would find it and read his messages to Keijo.
Are you and Ivar- dating?
Yes… I guess my mission is going a lot smoother than I thought.
You? I saw you in the lounge room earlier today.
When I snuck into Ivar’s room for evidence.
You did all that already?
Eji hasn’t even told me his name…
Don’t stress, Sakari.
We were warned about how dangerous Eji would be.
I expect your side of the mission will take months
I just have to keep Ivar occupied.
Yes…
He has me cooking at the moment
I’m guarded by two guards at all times
Or him.
I aim to get his trust more.
Sakari sighed and put his phone down. Tomorrow he would figure out a way to hide the phone, and hopefully find a way to gain Eji’s trust more…
