When she woke up, Katsuko felt like there was a new beginning coming her way, almost quite literally. Now that she was out of high school, and accepted into a highly respected private university, she knew she'd be able to make new friends and leave behind the same girl who was abandoned. To her knowledge, the only person from her old high school that got accepted was Hidetaka Sato, her best friend since they were in high school, but even then she only knows he was accepted the year prior to her. Perhaps she wouldn't have to face the people who harmed her reputation. She quickly put on the outfit that brought her a certain nostalgia. A white, button-up shirt, a red bowtie, a navy blue skirt, and her black loafers. This time, however, the school only asked that students wear their uniforms, and didn't have any solid dress code, so if a student wished not to wear the uniform, they didn't have to. Most students wore it anyway, as it feltl ike a status symbol. The same applied to Katsuko. She felt like she had a newfound power over the girl she used to be, no one could stop her or step in her way now that she was in one of the most prestigous universities around.
She rushed out the door, her nails painted with french tips, holding on to a store-bought bottle of coffee. Katsuko locked the door to her house. With her parents in the United States, she had the house all to herself. She quickly cracked open the bottle and drank half the bottle in a quick chug, before starting to sprint down the street, running towards a large building that looked almost futuristic. Its sleek metal design made her feel as if there was a brighter future ahead.
