Early in the morning the screens and holographic systems of the immense Station Park capsule began to flicker as if they were hesitating between staying on or going off forever.

Station Park was a grand holographic spruce forest, just as they were before the Apocalypse. Completing the scenario was an arduous task by a wide group of professionals, including engineers, programmers, and graphic designers. They based their assumptions of what a real forest would be like on old books and historical documentation.

In addition to the plants and trees, the capsule had ultra-sensitive sensors that regulated the level of oxygen and the environmental temperature, adapting the climate to the season of the year. For this reason, during the months corresponding to winter, the forest was covered with snow, until the arrival of spring again, when simulating the thaw, the flowers would sprout again.

Every aspect, down to the smallest details, was designed to make it look absolutely real. Ducts were distributed throughout the capsule, through which jets of air emerged that imitated a warm wind, a cool breeze, or a stormy gale. As for the fauna, the songs of the birds or the rain as it fell were heard, thanks to the speakers hidden in strategic places in the vault. When it rained, the aroma of wet earth was so penetrating that it flooded every corner as if it were a vivid memory that suddenly vanishes when you open your eyes. However, that dream could be kept intact and with eyes wide open.

The panoramic dome formed a large sky enveloping the user in a fan of clouds, sunbeams, and on some occasions, a threatening gray overcast sky. Every day the sun went down, dyeing the ceiling in violet, pink and orange tones, giving way to the blanket of stars, typical of the closed night. The sounds of songbirds were replaced by those of predatory and nocturnal fauna, such as owls or wolves.

For some reason Liam Fox was drawn to Station Park, so far from true reality and yet so close to its true nature. Every morning he did the same 3 km run. that kept him in shape and calmed his restless spirit. However, that morning his vision of the forest threatened to disappear before his eyes. Station Park had never shut down, nor had it given any errors. He understood that this magnetic interference was only possible because of one person. The only one in that city capable of exercising mental power so concentrated as to interfere with the waves of energy that the terrestrial core gave off naturally.

He answered the incoming call from his phone, and immediately stormed out of Station Park like hell. He had just started the mission.
