Four minutes and twenty eight seconds. That’s how long I’ve been watching her. I discovered where her heartbeat came from and when I understood it was human, I wanted to play with it a little bit. Like a cat plays with a rat before it kills it. But I opened the door to see her and I froze. She’s the girl from my dreams. She’s the one I’ve been craving for. The one I’ve been yearning to have for months. She was aiming at me. I know that. Her gun is aimed straight at my throne. But I can see it on her face. Her determination was wavering. They must have sent her here because she’s good and experienced so the only reason why I’m not dead yet is most likely because I made an impact on her. It seems I wasn’t what she imagined. It’s been nearly six minutes now and I think I’ve made it past the stage of shock. Right now, all I want to do is see how she feels when she’s close to me. So I don’t think rationally. I use my abilities to get to where she is, faster than light, and before she can even blink, I lift her off the ground and hold her in my arms, making sure to hold one of my special daggers to her neck. She might be the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, but she’s still here to kill me. And she nearly succeeded.
She gasps slightly and I smirk. Good. She didn’t expect it.
‘ And who might you be?’ I ask her in a low tone right by her ear. Let’s hope she doesn’t do something that’s going to attract other creatures' attention. I’d really prefer if I didn’t kill anyone in my kingdom for a human today.
‘I am a guard watching my leader. He’s in the ballroom below us.’
‘A guard with a sniper pointed at my throne?’
‘I was just surveying the ballroom sir. You must have coincidentally seen my gun face in that direction because I was checking the ballroom for any possible threats.’
She’s quite a good liar for a human. If I wasn’t who I am she could have gotten away with it. ‘Tsk. Don’t lie to me. I smell you clear as day...’
I get closer to her neck and she swallows the lump in her throat. ‘You’re human.’
As soon as I said that, she reached for the knife strapped to her thigh and punched me in the gut. Unfortunately for her, it didn’t cause any damage to me. I ended up ripping the knife out of her hand and grabbing her by her throat, plastering her to the wall where I began to search for the other weapons I’m presuming are hidden on her.
‘You have two minutes to tell me all about your mission. When I find all of the equipment on you and disarm you, I’ll painfully put an end to your life.’ I say as I begin to grab knives - primarily strapped to her legs- with one hand and keeping her still with my other hand around her neck.
