Flower Crowns

Those are manuka flowers, which can blossom anytime between September to February. Let’s just say, for the sake of Valentines Day, these were some late bloomers.
The manuka plant is native to New Zealand. While it’s considered a weed by some, manuka is vital to NZ’s ecosystem and helps restore damaged habitats during the early stages of succession. Also, its leaves can be used to brew tea, and bees use the nectar to make honey!
