He had troubles to breath due to his high stress. It took him twenty minutes to reach his shelter from the coast. Those minutes were one of the longest of his life. Uentos was still in the bag and Shavheol was leaning on his shelter wall. Trying to control his breathing by counting to ten again and again. He was holding Uentos thigly in his arms, close to his heart. He was trying to calm himself in any ways possible. Time was slowly falling. Patting Uentos was helpful, the bird had shut himself after noticing they were at home. At some point Shavheol noticed others sound coming from the forest. Animals were starting to exprim themselves. Some orange lights were traversing the sea of trees. Our Canavali was thinking it was Steredenn rising. This teroful night was finally over. Shavheol put Uentos in his nest. Covering him with his leaf blanket. The moki was sleeping soundly. It didn’t even move when he was placed on the floor. The night was truly over as this peacefull sight was confirming it.
Shavheol had spent the night planning and thinking how to hide himself better. Maybe by moving deeper inside the forest. Or maybe by climbing to a kapok and create a more sturdy shelter, far from the ground. But doing that would take a lot of time and imply that he would stay longer and durably there. While his project was to wander and grow stronger to get his revenge.
He had spent the whole night, wondering on what should he do. At some point he came to a conclusion : he needs to hide his shelter better and erase his traces when he would go hunting or roaming around. There was no need for now to build a new refuge.
As the day was becoming clearer, he was reorganizing his shelter. Hiding the food better, adding branches and moss on the exterior and roof. Putting some mud and mushroom in order to make it look natural. Doing that permits him to focus his mind on something else.
After the passage of Loarell, he was starting to be hungry. But the thing was that they were no more meat for him and Uentos. He chooses to go hunting. He brought his bow and a bag with him. Leaving Uentos at home.
After wandering for half an hour and bypass nothing except a few fruit’s trees, he decides that he should climb some kapok and hide himself. Maybe that way, animals wouldn’t notice him and would approach closer in order for Shavheol to ambush them.
Nothing was moving except forthe trees. Their branches were following the wind currents. This sound was calm and entertaining on his own. Shavheol was enjoying that moment, waiting for something to hunt to come his way when a sudden move occurred. A flock of birds suddenly takes over less than a hundred meters from him. It was either some big predator or the pirates that were moving in the forest. Anyway, it was meaning danger. Shavheol took a few minutes to first calm himself and then make a decision. Running now, deeper in the forest, staying hidden in this tree or running as fast as he could to get Uentos and then climb their kapok tree together.
He chooses the last option. Uentos was all he had left and it was impossible for him to just leave it behind. He was running between the different tree branches twenty meters away from the ground. He was describing a curve to avoid whatever was coming his way and to stay as hidden as ever. Going down now would sign his death contract with the reaper if it was any predator and he wasn’t sure being face to face with pirates would be any better than a quick death from animal teeth.
He stops just before their Kapok. Crounching on a very high branch, almost at the top of the tree. From this spot he could observe what was going on the ground without being seen from the said ground. The only problem was that he couldn’t see the other sides of the tree and if there were two predators, he would only see one.
Uentos was reacting to some invisible things and started to scream out of nowhere. Shavheol was holding his head in his hand, supplying in his head that the moki would shut himself. The noise he was making would just attract everything that was roaming in the forest in a hundred meter circle.
While his thoughts were all focused on making some telekinesis connection to make Uentos shut up, shadows started to appear around the shelter. The luminosity wasn’t that great under the trees but Shavheol still noticed that it was some kind of black panthers. If he wants to save his pets, he would have to jump into the battle.
