Chap. 4. THE PLAN (District K020 - 2 months before - Under Legacy city)

Chap. 4. THE PLAN (District K020 - 2 months before - Under Legacy city)

Jan 22, 2023

Liam and Vega were meeting with their teacher Solomon, going over the escape plan for the umpteenth time. Sitting around a round table, a hologram was opened simulating the interior of the master capsule. Once there it was shown which would be the direction to follow until the tubular elevator. The Master would be in charge of creating the right occasion for Liam and Vega to access inside. He would set off all the alarms in the city, and consequently the higher command would sound the alarm, calling them, at which point the brothers would enter the capsule without raising suspicions.

Solomon had been training his mental and psychic abilities in order to be ready to achieve the necessary buildup of mental strength. This energy, in the form of electromagnetic waves, would destabilize the energy that flowed from the Earth's core. In this way he would create a kind of internal short circuit throughout the city, including the master capsule.

The wise Solomon, was an 88-year-old man born in Under Legacy, however he had nothing in common with the character of the city, as one would expect from a member of the Omega Order. He had his own meditation techniques that served to increase his energy to very high vibrations, even so high as to be able to become light. The power of him was overwhelming. However his motivations were honest, and he would only unleash his supremacy in the extreme case that circumstances put him between a rock and a hard place.

On the one hand, he guarded a powerful legacy and therefore had the responsibility to preserve it with his life if necessary. On the other hand, he had to transmit it to his disciples so that it would never be lost. For this reason he chose to protect two young orphans. The chosen ones were Liam Fox and Vega Polanski, whom he educated and trained with discipline and parental love, since he also adopted them as a father. Like his two students, he fought for abstract and intangible concepts like dignity and human rights, freedom and equality, answering to nothing more than his own conscience. Values and old ideas that seemed to belong to another era. He exerted his influence on all the citizens of the city through his social position as a parliamentary representative. Through that faction of the government, and thanks to his public office, he made friends as well as enemies. But undoubtedly the worst and most dangerous of all was Akuma Gesher, his greatest political opponent.

Although the power group that made up the city's elite oligarchy was corrupt, Solomon believed in personal duty. He considered that he contributed his bit so that politics did not become a fierce search for success, power and wealth. He was not to admire the power in himself. The idea of the search for technological power had to be subordinated to reason and love, so as not to use it brutally or cruelly. And although the teacher participated in the public life of his city, for him ethics were more important than politics or religion, since within himself, he always put the legacy before. He had inherited it from the secret society, of which he was the current highest representative of him as Master of the Omega Order.

He had tried by all means to instill this legacy in his disciples, and to keep it safe, until he found out about Akuma Gesher's secret plans. She, that woman, was capable of devastating all the planet's resources if necessary, only for profit, and ultimately to gain the formula for immortality. So the time for action had come. She had to get rid of the codex and the sacred scroll, and give them to her two children. So they should find the path that would lead them to Kybalion, the secret city. They should go through the three-dimensional portals, to different places on the planet, and find each fragment that made up the key. Only with the totality of the key, the last portal would be opened towards the gates of the promised city: Kybalion. The objective was to notify Erleak, leader of the sacred city to ask him for help, against Akuma's plans.

-Your destinies, beloved children, along with your lives, have always gone hand in hand. You must fulfill the purpose you have in life, so long postponed. - The master spoke slowly, but with unusual strength in his voice for such an old person. -Thus it was written by the Omega Order, -he continued looking at his children with wise eyes, -thousands of years ago, when the Millennial Texts and their Noble Truths predicted the chosen ones to save humanity, and free it from the predatory claws of the cynical and despotic men -he explained while massaging his temples with both hands, in a very recurring gesture in recent weeks. Possibly due to the mental exhaustion that he had been accumulating for a long time.

-Remember that the parchment will guide you on your way, it will tell you where the portals are, but only the codex will give you the answers to your questions. When you find yourself lost, and doubt how to overcome the tests that will stand in the way of your progress, the wisdom deposited over generations of teachers will give you the answer you need. Never forget that a river can trace many meanders, but its destination will always be the sea. The same is for your destiny, and the legacy that you will carry in your hands, so never lose faith. May the light guide you and the love that is in my heart, give you warmth and encouragement in difficult moments.

-Thanks dad, - Vega said, trying to hide her glazed eyes, while gritting her teeth in a very hers gesture, which she always did unconsciously to hold back the tears that were fighting to come out. -I promise that we will find the key, whatever the cost. We will reach Kybalion.

Vega loved his father madly, also his brother. He had always been an idealistic person. He believed that his society lived in a world that was too comfortable and satisfied with so little, compared to his curiosity that was so hungry and demanding of him. He wondered what was the origin of the world, of time and the stars. From time to time she plunged into such transcendental questions, which led her to thoughts about the meaning of life, questions that disturbed her. Now as an adult, she was a woman who had found some peace and balance, some depth she had gained in her life. At the same time, Solomon with his paternal affection, his advice and his clandestine books, influenced and enlarged her vision of her world, through other perspectives, looking through other eyes. She understanding that the truth was never only one, because there was never a totally correct or accurate answer.

And she gave him the wings of imagination. A childhood memory of hers flashed through her mind, in which she was sitting on her father's lap, having one of her numerous parlor talks.

-Dad, do you think that people's dreams are lost if a long time passes? -Vega had been reading an adventure book, where the protagonist, a scientist named Alexander Von Humboldt, had the dream of traveling to Ecuador to climb a volcano. The scientist's mother, who was distant and cold, kept him in his native Germany, which is why she postponed his dream every year, even thinking of giving him up forever.

-They are only lost when you stop believing in them. -replied his father somewhat surprised.

-Let me think. Let's see, a dream, my daughter, is like a bird locked in a golden cage, beautiful but sad if it isn't free. You have to find a way to open the door of that golden cage -he answered smiling at Vega.

-Yeah... but what happens if the bird can't open it?

-So…- Solomon said thoughtfully, massaging his chin. -I suppose that the bird, after a long time, forgets that it wanted to fly.

In the adventurer's story, after a long time, Alexander the scientist was able to make the journey. Only when his mother died did he feel free to go. Someday she would also want to explore the outside of the planet, that was her dream but she knew that it was forbidden to go outside of it.

-It could be that the little bird was also terrified by the fear that his wings would fail once the door of his cage was opened,- added the father in an attempt to find out what had gotten into his daughter's head.

-Then he better stay in the cage. What if she stays in the cage? Vegas asked.

-Then it is not a bird, and if it is, he thinks that it is not, that it is the same. I'll tell you one thing, my daughter, all birds are born with wings, because their purpose in life is to fly.

But now they must put the valedictory speeches and displays of affection aside, to focus on the scroll. The sacred lambskin scroll, wrapped in the fine linen cloth, had been guarded for generations by a lineage of powerful guides. The carbon fourteen analyzes dated that relic from between the 3rd century BC. and 68 AD. It was an ancient map that indicated where the lost city of Kybalion was located. Sacred place where those men and women who disappeared from the face of the Earth during the Apocalypse had taken refuge. Those people were the Kybalites.

The scroll had been rescued in the city of Megiddo, near the banks of the Jordan, when the last battle between the forces of good and evil was taking place. A brave Master of the Omega Order hid it and took it with him, escaping with it from the flames of a huge fire. Thanks to that Master and many after him, it made it into the hands of the current Keeper, Solomon, intact.

That was it, the sum total of everything possessed by the guide and prophet Solomon, who lived in an austere but elegant capsule in the old district; an ancient parchment scroll and a secret codex. That, and knowledge, skill, intelligence, decision and courage. And a plan.

Under Legacy is a fantasy world, or maybe it's the future.

After the Apocalypse, only some of the ancient human settlers managed to transcend to the city of Kybalion in the fifth dimension. The rest fled to an underground bunker. Today, that bunker is just an old district of the great cosmopolis that Under Legacy city represents.

Now, 300 years later, the power plays of the underground city of Under Legacy once again endanger an Earth that is already recovered after the Apocalypse.

Liam and Vega are on a mission, embarking on a journey filled with challenges, secret keys, hidden enigmas, and time jumps to unlikely places.

They must reach Kybalion because the sacred city possesses what Under Legacy city lacks; an enormous development of psychic abilities. They need them if they want to prevent the devastation of the planet a second time.
