I scanned my door card and we took the elevator in silence. We arrived on my floor and he grabbed my hand before I could exit the elevator. “Look, I can head home if you want,” he reiterated. Still not knowing what to say I nervously teased, “What? I promise I’ll order you a supreme pizza since my meatlovers is too much for you.”
Grinning ear to ear he replied, “Well, can’t say no to free pizza.”
“Free? Oh no. You’re treating me!” We entered my apartment and it felt like a cloud was lifted. Gesturing, “This is nice. Didn’t peg you for a plant person, you know, with your hate for veggies.” His eyes landed upon my bed and his gaze flickered before he took a seat on the couch.
My stomach clenched in excitement and I quickly ordered our pizzas before losing my cool. After aimlessly walking around my apartment, apologizing and tidying up for fifteen minutes, Theo caught my wrist and pulled me over. I stumbled, landing in his lap. He rubbed a few circles on my thighs, leering at my lips. Placing my hand on his chest, I leaned in for a kiss and bumped my forehead against his nose when the doorbell startled me.
“Oh, I’ll get that. Sorry.” Scrambling to my feet I took a deep breath as I answered the door. Theo slipped up behind me, sliding a fifty to the pizza man and taking the boxes. My body shivered as he winked before walking away. I don’t understand how he can be so calm while so close to me. Was I the only one affected by our proximity?
Shaking my head, I joined him on the couch. We stuffed ourselves with pizza while recalling how horrible I was at darts.
“It's not my fault!” I screeched. Scrunching my face I added, “You kept breathing on my neck and rubbing my back. You were distracting me on purpose.”
Theo responded to my suddenly honest outburst by pulling me on his lap and teasing, “Oh, you mean rubbing your back like this.” I flinched at the sudden shock I felt as he ran his hands slowly up the back of my shirt. A devious smirk appeared on his face before his lips brushed against mine, causing a heat to rise between my legs. I shifted to straddling him without thinking.
Fuck it, I thought as I grabbed his face and slipped my tongue in his mouth. He hesitated for a moment before grabbing my waist and deepening the kiss. We hungrily touched all over each other like teenagers. I instinctively rolled my hips on him losing control. His grip on my waist was tighter as he hoisted me in the air, flipping me with my back to the couch. He pulled away, and my body quaked at the look in his eyes. It was predatory-like and I had never felt so desired. Theo ran his hands along my stomach and up under my bra, still locking eyes with me.
A moan escaped and I reached out for him, but was shocked to see him pull away. He rubbed the back of his neck, redirecting his gaze.
“Theo--” He jumped from on top of me and mumbled an apology over his shoulder as he closed my front door. I was dumbfounded. I blinked a few times trying to register the events. What the hell happened?
Running my hands over my face I heated, but this time with embarrassment and anger. Fuming, I locked my door and flopped on my bed. I closed my eyes wishing I could have deciphered that look on his face as he avoided eye contact with me.
I tried to swallow my insecurities, but they consumed me as I drifted off to sleep.
The charming Theo just seems to be too good to be true. With his handsome masculine looks, Melodi can't help but notice the stares and awkward glances at the odd couple. Could he really be into such a tiny woman lacking all the curves and womanly characteristics as herself?
Will Theo be able to articulate his feelings to Melodi?
