Skinny bitch. He’s only with you cause you put out.
Is she anorexic?
I tossed and turned before jolting awake.
Fuck Theo.
Thanks to him being so disgusted with my lack of curves, I started having those dreams again. I’d worked so hard to push away those insecurities and hurtful words from my peers.
Dragging myself out of bed, I headed for the bathroom. I took a quick shower and changed into my comfortable pajamas, before turning my phone on again. Last night Chels insisted on making my night even more miserable by calling and texting non-stop asking about the “mysterious friend” I went to the bar with.
If you wanna talk I'll bring over some rocky road and moscato. Love you.
Judging from her last text, she must have gathered it didn’t go so well. Great. Maybe if I pretend nothing happened, she’ll give up on wanting details by Tuesday. Chels has always had the memory of a squirrel, so if I held out long enough, my little sister would forget all about Saturday and move on to some other interesting thing that sparked her interest. I made a mental note to send her a good luck text on Monday before her interview, along with a reminder that leggings were not appropriate for an interview.
Sunday was coming to an end in the blink of an eye. I did some laundry and binged the last of my shows, while prepping meals for the week. I had assembled a small lasagna, chicken and broccoli fettuccine, fruit salads, and baked muffins for breakfast. My apartment smelled amazing. I even gave a batch of muffins to Mrs. Dubree next door.
As the clock got closer to six, I decided to take a long bath and finish my manga. I lit my candles, avoiding the mahogany teakwood candle for obvious reasons, and settled in. After moisturizing every inch of my body, I decided to head to bed early. Maybe I’ll set my alarm an hour earlier and do some yoga on my balcony.
Glancing over my schedule for the week while settling into bed, my phone lit up with a notification. Groaning I expected it to be Chels trying to bribe me with a rocky road for details, but it wasn’t.
Theo was the name above the text. I held the phone in my hands, unable to even fathom what he would have to say to me. I contemplated deleting his number. But I didn’t even want to unlock my phone and see his reply. It would either be him ending things and wanting to stay friends or worse, him coming up with some lame excuse.
A text came in from Chels and I decided I’d rather just go to bed. More texts came in from her before I could even stretch my arm over to my nightstand. I put my phone down as Chels kept spamming my phone, hoping she’d eventually give up and I could have some peace and quiet.
Moments later, I sat up punching my pillow. Is she seriously retorting to calling me non-stop until I answer!? Angrily, I snatched my phone off the nightstand and attempted to calmly state through a clenched jaw, “Chels, I will buy you any, and I mean anything if you let me get some sleep. I had a pretty shitty weekend and would like to get some sleep before work tomorrow! Don’t you have an interview you should be preparing for? I’ll tell you about the douchebag tomorrow during lunch, okay?” My tone softened towards the end as I closed my eyes.
“Mel… It's Theo.”
Plucking my phone from my ear, I stared at the screen blinking. My forehead twitched as my anger overcame me. I barked, “And what the fuck can I do for you Theo?”
The charming Theo just seems to be too good to be true. With his handsome masculine looks, Melodi can't help but notice the stares and awkward glances at the odd couple. Could he really be into such a tiny woman lacking all the curves and womanly characteristics as herself?
Will Theo be able to articulate his feelings to Melodi?
