"Is he still talking with that lady in the cafe?"
"Yes, he is," the stranger looked towards the cafe to prove his words, only to see the young man was nowhere to be seen.
"Dammit! I lost track of him!" The man profusely apologized to the one he was on the phone with as he hurriedly tried to look for Yifan along the streets.
"That might be the most I got out of today."
Raising from her seat, Luhui left the cafe. The young woman can't seem to remember when was the last time she wandered around on the streets alone like this. A bustling city full of tall buildings and full of people.
What would Vivian Ruby be doing at this moment? Luhui wondered. Pausing in her tracks as she watched the people go on about their days. Is Vivian Ruby also working just as hard as those people to write her new book?
That damned faceless author. All she does is hide.
That's why Luhui got to be the one to find her soon.
Ping!
Snapping out of her little moment, after a moment of patting around her clothes in an attempt to search for her phone, Luhui fished out what she was searching for. Turning the phone on, she looked at the notification.
'VIVIAN RUBY DENIED THE FACE REVEAL? IMPERSONATION' Luhui rolled her eyes. Of course, that woman was a fake one, Vivian wouldn't pull the stunt she did. But Luhui guess that woman had fun with the momentary spotlight.
Followed by that, the woman got a phone call from the secretary. "Did you get any inspiration?" Luhui hummed in dissatisfaction. "No, why did you call?"
"You know that the whole reason I'm here is because someone has to keep a leash on you from escaping the country right?" The woman on the phone blinked, an offended expression on her face as a nearby convenience shop caught her eye.
"Whatever, I'm just going to buy tons of junk food and go back to the hotel to write. I won't believe that I can't write anything good."
"You shouldn't do that, it's no good for your health-" No desire to listen to the secretary nagging like a grandma, Luhui hung up the phone without a second thought.
With newfound determination, Luhui charged into the convenience shop, marching straight towards the junk food section, paying no mind to the strange looks she got.
The door slammed shut as Luhui arrived at her hotel room, she started to get things ready. Water, snacks, pen, paper, laptop, and more snacks. "I just won't believe I can't write down anything today, it's just creative writing, right? Who can't do that?"
Currently sitting on top of her bed, hair tied up with her glasses on her nose bridge, Luhui was ready to go on a battle against her own mind. "There's nothing the almighty Xu Luhui can't do, or else my pretty face was not worth it."
"Let's see," Luhui looked off into the distance.
Just by looking off into the distance, suddenly moments turned into nearly two and half hours with her document still staying blank as her own mind.
Luhui let out a frustrated scream and fall back on her bed, throwing fists in the air. The feeling of being stuck was terrible, yet the young woman didn't know how to fix it. The room went slowly went quiet as she stared blankly at the ceiling, finally drifting off to sleep.

Shivering from the cold, the sleeping figure on the bed slowly stirred awake. Looking at the phone by her side showed her that it was the middle of the night.
Rubbing her eyes tiredly, Luhui looked out of the window wall of her hotel room. Among the tall buildings, she still got a good look at the sky, one of the perks for booking a room on the hotel's higher floors. It seems to be a cloudy night tonight, where no stars could be seen.
A wave of hollowness hit Luhui, it brought back certain memories that she wished to never resurface again, leaving a bitter taste in her mouth.
Only bothering enough to push everything on her bed right onto the floor, Luhui buried herself into the covers of her bed. Just lay there quietly, but not asleep.

Xu Luhui woke up angry.
Her patience was running low on how she still didn't manage to squeeze out anything creative to write as two days went by since she arrived in city B. She didn't like this one bit.
Eventually forcing herself out of her hotel room, the young woman made her way to the nearby park in hopes of the fresh air bringing some fresh ideas to her head.
"For a second I thought your eyes looked one of a dead fish." Snapping out of her thoughts, Luhui lifted her head to see the familiar sight of her assistant. Luhui rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"Says the one who still somehow resembles a bag of trash even out of office." The young woman replied as her eyes scanned the male standing in front of her. The assistant shrugged "So are you done with zoning out here?" That certainly ticked off Luhui but the assistant paid no mind to the glares she sent him as he stood beside the bench she was sitting on.
"No." The assistant slowly nodded at the answer to his question. "Well, we have to fix that then." The annoyed looks Luhui has been sending him turned into one of curiosity. "How so?" "The library of course." The young woman contemplated the suggestion for a moment before nodding to herself and standing up from her seat. "Alright, let's go to the library then." The assistant nodded with a satisfied smile on his face, that look, however, changed as he fully processed her look for today.
"The 50's polka dot puff dress is surely... eye-catching Miss Luhui." The assistant decided to finally comment on it after a moment of silence. On cue, Luhui pulled out a pair of oversized sunglasses. "You haven't seen my complete look yet." The woman turned towards her assistant with a million-dollar smile before walking away with tiny skips on her steps, leaving her assistant behind.
