‘’Why does this have to happen, I wonder’’. Ciera mutters angrily. They enter their mother's vehicle and begin driving as soon as they have finished packing all of their possessions into the moving trucks. As she witnesses her friends saying their goodbyes, Lindsey waves outside the window. Ciera's eyes start to tear up as the car finally begins to drive away knowing she is about to leave her childhood home. She casually wiped her face with the sleeve of her furry sweater since she didn't want to startle anyone. A thought popped into her head all of a sudden. "Dad, I miss you." Lindsey looks at Ciera instead of her iphone as she shifts her focus. She is visibly anxious, as is evident. Is everything all right? Your eyeliner is smudged," a somewhat alarmed Lindsey remarks. Ciera adds with a fake smile, trying to hide her emotion, "It's nothing. Would you like a donut, Lindsey inquires with a slight grin. I'm not a big lover of donuts, so no thanks. Aware that Lindsey placed laxatives in her donut, Ciera says. "Did my sister try to poison me?" you ask. What is happening? Is all of this in my head? Ciera rests her hands on her temples in an attempt to remain composed and control her reaction.’’ Is everything all right, my love? Their mother says as she looks in the mirror. Yes, mom. We're good," Lindsey says. Ciera is drawn back to reality when her mother asks them a question as she drives to the gas station. What do you want from the gas station, guys? Lindsey exclaims, "Ooo, may I get takis?" with enthusiasm. "takis. Got it. Ciera, would you like anything?" Asks their mother. I'll have some potato chips and a Reese's cup. Tiredly, Ciera says. Alright, I'll be back shortly. says their mother. Since the two sisters are alone together in the car, there is silence for almost five minutes. "So, are you glad to be leaving New York?" While she applies her favorite lip gloss, Lindsey asks. "Not really... I regret leaving Derek. My moments in New York were all incredible. How could I possibly want to leave that behind? Ciera remarks, feeling let down. look,   Try not to give it too much attention. Maybe you can find some more friends other  than Derek," Lindsey jokes.'' I know what you're saying but, Derek is like my best friend.. even though he is popular we are just alike. He's the only one who actually listens to my problems and try  to understand me as a person.'' Ciera exclaims as she wipes off her now smudged , eyeliner
