A knock on the door jolted him awake, and he quickly realized he must have fallen asleep. He had been dreaming of his future wife and children, but all their faces were crossed out. It had made a terrifying nightmare as he acted like nothing was wrong with the picture.
All this talk about marriage and kids was literally giving him nightmares. IF that wasn't a sign he shouldn't get married, he wasn't sure what was.
"Juan, you up? Dinner's ready," my mom said through the door.
"Coming, mother," he said as he got up from the bed.
By the time he opened the door, she was already gone, presumably to return to join the rest of the family for dinner. He headed into the dining room and saw everyone was already waiting for him.
His cousing signaled for him to sit next to him.
