Aikaterinia was kneeling on the ground, practically on all fours, begging, crying, while she called out to the emperor.
“Brother, please! I beg you! It wasn’t me I swear! It wasn’t my fault, please believe me! Please, brother! BROTHER!”
“SHUT IT!!” he exclaimed out to her. He had turned his body halfway, not fully facing her as she was still on the ground. The face Aikaterinia once felt so familiar and comfortable with was now showing her an expression filled with disgust and a feeling of betrayal. She could no longer look at him and see her own brother, but only a cold emperor who’s lost everything he could reach happiness from.
He gritted his teeth and he looked straight into her tearful eyes that were begging for a feeling of understanding. He clicked his tongue, still holding a deep gaze through her eyes. She was no longer just looking for forgiveness, now it had also turned to mercy. He had never once shouted at her before, and he could see how terrified she was from the expression she wore. After a long silence between the two, the cold emperor spoke.
"It's all your fault. Yours. It's because of you they're gone. You're the reason we're like this, so don't you dare say you had no role in this. There is nothing you can do to redeem yourself." When the last words were spoken he gave her a fierce gaze that made her tremble.
“Please, brother..” she was stuttering. Aikaterinia stood up clumsily and ran to her brother. She clung to his clothes as she shed tears of desperation.
“Brother, I’ll do anything you ask, please! Anything! I beg of you. I just want things to go back to the way it was, please!” her grip tightened, but he didn’t move an inch.
He turned his head slightly to look at her. she didn’t let go as her legs gave up and made her fall to the ground. his gaze pierced hers through his hair, and he spoke;
“Anything? I told you, there’s nothing you can do. But since you’re so persistent..” he chuckled. pushing her off of him he took a step forward. he glanced over his shoulder
“Just go ahead and die.”
He left her there, in the empty space. All life escaped her. Her gaze was locked on his figure that moved further and further away. Aikaterinia’s arm unconsciously moved up, trying to grab a hold of him again. But he moved further and further away, until he was no longer to be seen.

"It was so tragic, you should’ve seen it! The way the actors carried out the scene was so heartbreaking.. I’ve already read the manga, but what a twist! I didn’t expect their relationship to turn like that, don't you think so too?"
Kate’s friend, Ane, is the biggest romance nerd. She recently continued watching her current favorite TV-Series; “Is This The Imperial Life?”. She’s been hooked on the series ever since the show was announced. Kate however isn’t as interested in the show as her friend is. She’s willing to listen to her friend tell her about it every now and then, but it’s become so often she’s practically watched the show herself.
"Can you really call it a twist, if you already knew it would happen?" Kate said. The two were currently on their way home from studying. Kate has been sick for quite a while, so Ane has been escorting her home everyday. This just meant that Kate got to hear her friend talk about that show 24/7.
"I'm telling you, you need to watch it! The show is one of the most watched on webflix right now. You'll die with regret if you miss out." Ane blurred out, shoving her phone in Kate’s face. She’s been trying to convince Kate to watch her favorite romance series on webflix for as long as they can remember, but the two of them have different tastes in romance.
"I'm not quite sure about that. Unless you think my life is like one of those novels your sister likes to read." Ane’s sister is really fond of the novels about reincarnation. She has her own mini-library with fantasy books about rebirth.
"That's a different case, Kate-"
"Oops, that's my place. See ya tomorrow Ane, bye~" Kate quickly got off the bus and sprinted inside her house. It seemed she was home alone again. Kate lived alone with her older brother and aunt. When she was in elementary school her parents got into a car accident abroad. She hardly remembers them, and has been raised by her aunt ever since then. Her brother however didn’t take their parents' deaths lightly. He hardly ever speaks to Kate anymore and is about to move out soon.
Kate dragged herself into her room and dropped her bag down. She immediately crashed onto her bed and took her mask off.
“Can this cursed cold end already!?” She shouts. Waving her arms in the air out of frustration. She sits herself up, and rests her forehead on her hand. She stands up, and heads to the kitchen for some medicine, but right before she reaches the door handle she comes to a stop. A sudden dizziness came over her, she wonders if her cold is getting to the point of having to go to the hospital
“what is.. Is my cold that bad..?” Kate’s legs give up on her completely and she passes out before she even gets to open the door. She felt numb, the fall didn't hurt. And right before her eyes shut, she saw a small light.

The sun was up, and the curtains were open. The bright light from the windows woke her up and she slowly opened her eyes.
“Oh god.. Well I guess taking a nap helped the fever..” She woke up. However, she had yet to realize it.
She tried to sit up, which was surprisingly tiring for her. Why was it so hard to get up? it’s almost as if her muscles weren’t fully developed yet. When she finally sat herself up, she noticed unfamiliar surroundings. The roof was so high, that she felt microscopic. She looked around, but couldn't piece together where she had found herself. As she tried to speak, the only thing that escaped her lips was;
“bwah! Mwel-ah?” she heard herself and it only confused her mind more. Why did she sound like that? she glanced down at her hands to take notice of their petite size. Were they always that small? Hold on.
“Oh yeah, I’m a baby.” It is then that she realized her situation.
“I’M A BABY?!”
