Jung-Won shifts his position when the sun rays touch his face. He wraps his arms around Soon-Ja's body and pulls her close to him. Soon-Ja starts moving as her sleep is interrupted. She pushes herself up from Jungkook’s arm and rubs her eyes, muttering curses at the early morning light.
“What time is it?” She asks with a groan.
“Just past seven.” Jung-Won answers, rubbing her hair with his hand. "Get up or we will be late for work. Today's the important meeting Mr. Geun. If you are not ready in twenty minutes, we will be late."
Soon turns around and glares at Jung-Won who grins back innocently. He has been teasing her mercilessly since yesterday evening. "Okay, you go and freshen up. I wait here." "No, Mr. Geun, you go I use the other bathroom." Jung-Won nods his head and takes his towel before heading to the bathroom. Soon-Ja sighs and goes out of the room to get fresh in another room.
When she came back, Jung-Won was already done with his suit, preparing himself for today's meeting. He looks up when he hears Soon-Ja walk in the bathroom. She had a white shirt with a red flower pattern on it, and grey jeans. Her hair was tied into a high ponytail.
Jung-Won smiles at her and peck on her forehead before placing his hand on her waist. "Let's go, my lady." He says with a wink. His smile is infectious, she feels like giggling like a little girl when he does this. She blushes as her eyes look towards the ground and he chuckles.
"Is something wrong?"
She glances up to him, then shakes her head no and starts walking towards the downstairs. Mrs. Young and Eun-Hee eyes land on them, Eun-Hee feels hurt the way Jung-Won is holding Soon-Ja 's hand and how close their bodies are as they walk away from them in that intimate manner. It hurts her more seeing Soon-Ja's bright smile as she laughs along with his joke and Mrs. Young smile warmly while patting Eun-Hee's back. "Don't Worry, he will come back to you soon." Eun-Hee smiles at her mother as she is the one who is standing with her at this time.
Jung-Won let go of Soon-Ja's waist, making her confused at his sudden move as they walked out of the mansion. "Let's go." He says with a poker face making her nod her head in agreement. He hops into his car followed by Soon-Ja. After a while they drove away. After a pin drop silence ride they reach the company. Soon-Ja gets out of the car and fixes her shirt before heading in.
"Check them all Soon-Ja, and please bring me a coffee." Geun ordered her in a raspy voice. Soon-Ja nods her head and bowed at him before getting him a cup of coffee. She quickly makes a line towards his office and knocks on it twice waiting for a response.
"Come in." He calls out in a tired tone.
Soonly enters the room and hands him the cup and leaves. Once she closes the door he takes a long sip from his black coffee and sighs. A few moments later he is done drinking and places down the empty cup. He opens up his laptop and starts typing something before looking around his office.
The lights are dimmed leaving only one light hanging over the desk illuminating the place in an eerie glow. The walls have a dark grey color that matches his office with its dark blue carpet. His office chair is black while his desk was black which matched his dark grey walls. It is quite a sight if he is being honest but he could never admit that to anyone especially not Soon-Ja.
He stands up and heads towards the window where he stares at nothing trying to clear his thoughts before sitting down again. He turns on his laptop and log on to the web browser checking if any new projects have been created. Just as he expects, none have been released yet. This is going to take some time for them to come up and be announced so he decides to work on some paperwork before he leaves this boring place.
Soon-Ja passes by Jung-Won's office and their eyes meet. Soon-Ja's cheeks heat up and she looks away while biting her lower lip. She doesn't want to make things awkward between them, not when they barely know each other. Still, the boy with a huge smile on his face has the ability to make people feel comfortable around him. She finds herself smiling back and then realizes he's waiting for her. Soon-Ja's heart is pounding as she walks up to him. He opens the door for her and she takes his arm. It feels so natural.
"Are you okay, Mr. Geun?" Soon-Ja asks him concern. "Yeah, I am fine, Ms. Seon." Jung-Won breaks the hug and caresses her cheeks. "You have such soft skin, Ms. Seon." Soon turns a light pink but manages to maintain eye contact with him. "Thank you... I guess." Jung smiles at Soon. "You know, you are beautiful too." Soon is taken aback. "Tha-" she stops herself and clears her throat. "I mean..." she looks away from him and blushes again. They continue talking until Soon leaves. She lets out a sigh of relief, hoping that Jung-Won' didn't see her blush.
Jung-Won sees Soon-Ja go and can't help but smile. His thoughts go back to her and how close they were in the office. Soon-Ja was so adorable, yet shy. Her hair looked like spun gold. He couldn't stop thinking about her.
Eun-Hee sits on the couch and drink a half glass of juice. She feels content but her mind still thinks about something. Her thoughts go back to Jung-Won and Haneul . She has been thinking about them lately, even though she didn’t want to think about it. She knows that she hurt both of them in such a horrible way. But what can she do? There are things they have to get through together. And that’s okay because there will be another chance for them later.
She just needs to believe that. And as far as she knows, she only wants her baby healthy and safe with her. And then, when everything is fine again, maybe she can confess what happened and they can finally move on from the past. The past hurts and hurts so much, and Eun-Hee doesn't want to remember those moments too. She was afraid if she could remember them, she would feel like she couldn't live with this guilt. She hates remembering their past together. Because it was one of the greatest moments in her life. The love she felt with Haneul was one of the most beautiful feelings. It gave her wings, a feeling she can’t find anymore. Even if he isn’t hers anymore, there’s always a possibility that the feeling will come back one day. Maybe.
But for now, all she can do is wait. Until that day comes, she just has to hope for the best. "I hope Jung-Won will forgive me soon." She whispers to herself. If only she knew his answer would take longer than that.
"What're you doing here?" A voice asks. It's not loud or harsh; however it makes her jump up a bit.
It's Jung-Won standing behind her. "You should take some rest. It will be good for my baby who is inside you." He claims.
Eunhee sighs. "Can't we talk about this later? Can't we just forget everything and let bygones be bygones? We have more important things to do."
He raises an eyebrow at her question. "Like what?" He retorts.
Eun-Hee doesn't know what to say. How does she make him understand that she wants to give this relationship a second chance? She doesn't know what to say. She looks away, hoping that he wouldn't see how frustrated she is.
"Look, I don't want to fight again." Jung-Won says after a while.
"That's good. Because I am not fighting either. We should talk about this now." Eun-Hee says.
