Eun-Hee sighs as Jung-Won joins her and sits on the couch away from her. "Now you don't want to sit close to me either?" Jung-Won doesn't say anything, just waits for her to continue her talk. "Jung-Won, can't we just try again? Give our relationship a second chance?" He shakes his head before turning towards her.
"No." Eun-Hee looks at him in confusion. "What do you mean no?!" She stands up trying to get him to change his mind but he just keeps looking at her with a serious expression on his face. "I mean what I said Eun-Hee! I don't love you anymore!" Jung-Won says while standing up and walks out of the Living Room without saying anything further.
Eun-Hee's heart drops. It hurts so bad to see how Jung-Won is treating her but she didn't know what else to expect. So she grabs her phone off the table and goes inside her room. There is one text message that reads 'You broke my heart which makes Eun Hee feel guilty. But at this moment she doesn't know how to fix things with Jung-Won, or anyone for that matter. She has to find a way.
Eun-Hee stares into nothingness thinking about all the things that happened recently. All those times when Jung-Won was being nice to her, when Jung-Won would be around more often and when Jung-Won would call her. It hurt knowing that everything was because of her fault.
A few tears roll down Eun-Hee's cheeks but she tries not to let them fall. After Jung-Won left Eun-Hee locked herself in her room. Her mind kept replaying all the moments they spent together. She thinks back to their first date, Jung-Won took her to the beach, and the first time they kissed; the memories were flooding into her mind like a river.
Jung-Won enters the room where Soon-Ja is waiting for him. He smiles at her, Soon-Jaa looks at him and passes him a soft smile back. "I thought you would sleep," Jung-Won says gently as he sits beside his wife on the bed. She shakes her head and scoots closer to him. They stay like that for a while, both of them just staring ahead into nothingness and then slowly falling asleep in each other's arms.
When they wake up, they have woken up with their heads resting on the same pillow as they had during their slumber. Now, they are lying face to face. Their cheeks press together and their hands intertwined. Both of them feel warm and happy and comfortable in the same way when they’re this close.
After a few minutes, Soon-Ja speaks, “We should probably get out of here soon or else we will be late.” She whispers, she turns her head so that her lips touch his cheek. She kisses him gently, then pulls away. “Let’s go before we fall again.” She jokes and starts to get up from the bed. The mattress sinks slightly when Soon-Ja stands up but it doesn’t bother him too much. Jung-Won's eyes follow Soon-Ja as she walks toward the bathroom. After a couple of steps, she stops and turns around, her eyes still closed. She smiles at him and continues to walk forward.
He stays where he is, watching as Soon-Ja walks to the bathroom. He smiles.
She closes the door behind her and Jung-Won's heart starts beating faster. He feels something strange inside of him she opens the door and comes back in, now fully dressed. He tries to suppress his excitement. "Are you ready?" Jung-Won asks, her eyes shining brightly. She walks toward him and sits down next to him.
"Of course!" She replies. Her eyes move down to his lips. She raises her hand and touches his chin. When she does, his heart stops. Soon-Ja she moves her hands to the sides of his face, caressing his skin softly. Soon6 she leans in and kisses him lightly on his forehead. Jung-Won closes his eyes and sighs loudly. His body goes stiff. His mind is going blank. It only takes a second before Soon-Ja pulls away and looks at him in the eye with those beautiful bright eyes. "get up and freshen up. I'll have your breakfast." She says, smiling. Then she gets up herself.
Soon-Ja leaves the room. Jung-Won sits there, his heart beating so fast that he thinks he might break his own rib cage.
As Soon-Ja heads downstairs Mrs. Young and Eun-Hee are looking at her with a judgmental gaze as if they could see through her clothes or skin. She’s used to it though, she doesn’t have a clue how to react because she has no idea why they are staring at her in the first place.
She looks at the both of them, “What is this about?” she asks, confused but before either of them can answer, Eun-Hee's mom speaks up, "Since when did you start speaking up?" she says in a tone that suggests they are talking about someone else.
Eun-Hee, who had been standing silently, takes a step forward, “I think we should talk about this in private Soon-Ja” she says, her tone softening and her eyes full of concern.
She nods, “yes, I agree”
With that, Eun-Hee leads Soon-Ja towards the stairs to her room where they quickly sit down on the edge of the bed, not wanting anyone to interrupt them, "Why?" Eun-Hee asks with a broken voice. "Why did you take my husband away from me Soon-Ja?" she says, tears streaming down her face.
Soon-Ja doesn't know what to say; what does she even say? Should she tell Eun-Hee how sorry she is? Is there anything she can do to make things right? The girl keeps asking her the same question over and over again, making Soon-Ja start getting nervous. She just wants to know the reason why he left Eun-Hee.
"Ask yourself why I leave you. You broke me and my soul Eun-Hee." Both of the girls flinch at the sudden harsh voice that echoes in the room, a voice they know too well. Eun-Hee looks at Jung-Won his eyes are showing rage but she can't blame him, after all, she's the reason he left her, after telling herself over and over again that it was going to be fine but now... now she isn't so sure anymore.
The door slammed open and there stood a tall man, with black hair styled neatly down his face, his piercing gaze scanning through her with hatred. He walks toward the two girls and stands in front of Eun-Hee with a dark gaze. She looks up at him and feels like crying or begging for forgiveness but instead, she just keeps looking forward, tears threatening to fall from her eyes but she forces them back. She needs to be strong. "You said you love me, Jung-Won." a whisper comes out of Eun-Hee's mouth.
She can feel her heart shattering as she watches the man in front of her slowly shake his head and scoff. "Don't be silly Eun-Hee you know what you did wrong, you were so careless when you lied to me. I trusted you, I loved you, and yet you broke my trust, my heart. Do you realize how much it hurt when I found out? How do you think it felt to see me walk out on you?" Eun-Hee is stunned by the words she hears from the man. "Now Eun-Hee, now that you are free of me I will not hesitate to tell you that you have no place in my life." Jung-Won turns around and walks out of the room leaving a shattered girl behind.
