Episode 5: Let’s Have Fun

“This is stupid!”

Ven shouts as he stomps through the forest, looking for a way out of this strange place.

“Maybe I’m dreaming. Ya that’s it. I’m having a dream. Well, more like a nightmare.... A very long one. With an evil Kakashi look alike. Yeah."

He stumbles over sticks, and twigs as he walks aimlessly with beads of sweat dripping down his face.

“Do people even sweat in their dreams?” He asks himself as he wipes the sweat from his forehead. "I don’t even know where I am.”

He stops walking and takes in his surroundings. There is nothing but trees and shrubs in his sight and no sign of life, anywhere. It is also oddly calm, especially for a forest. Tears start to form in his eyes. He tries to blink them away but they fall down his cheeks.

“Help," Ven cries. “Help.”

He falls to his knees and starts to sob uncontrollably.

“Hey kid.”

A pair of worn black boots appear in-front of Ven.

He looks up to see a man in a black battle-suit. The man has a caramel complexion, dreaded silver hair, medium muscled build and grey eyes. Quite handsome as well.

“What are you doing out here?”  he asks with his silky, smooth voice.

“I… I need help,” Ven studders. “I don’t know what’s going on. I just want to go home.”

He wipes his snot ridden nose.

“Where are you from?”

“I’m from Japan.” 

“Japan? I never heard of that place before,” says the man as he scratches his head. “Where is that?”

“What do you mean?” Ven asks.

The man shrugs. “Exactly what I asked.”

Ven looks up at the man with a confused look on his face but the man just stares at him with a blank look.

*There is something off with this guy.... His energy feels weird* Ven says to himself.

“I’m not understanding what you mean by that. Who doesn’t know what Japan is?” Ven questions.

“Clearly not I,” the man replies. “I have never heard of such a place. What are you?”

Ven slowly gets to his feet. “I’m Japanese?” answers Ven. He stares at the man with a puzzled look on his face.

The man shakes his head. “No. I don’t think that’s it.”

“What?” Ven cocks his head.

*Something is REALLY off with this guy…*

“Then what am I then?” Ven takes a step back. His body tenses and his ears perk up. A clear warning that he is in imminent danger.

The man gives Ven a blank stare and then gives him a sly smile.

“I know what you are… Tenari!” The man says in a sudden menacing tone.

He locks eyes with Ven and then quickly reaches for Ven’s neck. Ven dodges his assault and backs up swifty.

“A Tenari what?!? What is that!?” Ven asks, putting more space between himself and the strange man.

“You know exactly what you are! You’re a spy aren’t you?!”

Suddenly, a strong gust of wind pushes Ven back at least six feet from his attacker. Ven looks up and sees that the man holds a ball of what seems to look like a tornado in his palm and shoots it towards him. He staggers back in awe.

“Oh hell no!” Ven yells.

He then turns and takes off running.

“Get your ass back here!” The man shouts as he chases behind him, sending gusts of wind towards Ven, missing him but hitting trees and shaking them roughly.

“Ahhhhhhhh!!! HELP ME!!” Ven screams as he runs through the forest, dodging the attacks from the man.

“Coward! How could a Tenari run! How pathetic!” 

Ven runs and jumps into a pile of bushes, attempting to hide.

“I can smell the fear on you, Tenari,” hisses the man. “Come on out. This could be very easy.”

Ven tries to hold his breath in an attempt to quiet the sounds of his pants.

“Please don't find me! Please don't find me!*

Suddenly, a gust of wind blows through the shrubs, revealing where Ven was hiding.

“Found you!” The man shouts. He grabs Ven by the neck, forms a fist and punches him, hard.

Ven’s head knocks back from the blow and his eyes start to water. The man punches Ven again, right in the nose, causing him to bleed.

“Absolutely pathetic!” Taunts the man as he proceeds to slam his fist into Ven's stomach. “So disappointing! How could a Madokai, better yet a TENARI not fight back?! Show me something! Pathetic coward!”

The man continues to punch and berate him and poor defenseless Ven could do nothing to protect himself. The man then tosses him to the ground. Ven hunches over onto his knees, trying not to cry from the pain and spits up blood. His face grimaces in pain, as he tries to not let the hot tears fall from his eyes.

“What’s the matter? Can’t fight back?” The man asks mockingly. He walks over to Ven and places his black boot on Ven’s back.

“Do something! Do something! Do you want to die.....like your mother?” The man smiles evily.

Ven doesn’t say a word as he starts to get extremely angry. The man raises his boot off of Ven’s back and as he gets ready to stomp on him, a deep growl erupts from Ven. He then pushes himself up on his knees and turns towards the man. His iris's turn a deep red, and it seems as if steam is emmitting from his body. Ven locks eyes with the man and raises his fist as if he is about to punch him. But as he goes for the blow, his fist catches on fire and then Ven's vision goes black.
