I sat at the vanity in my room that was littered in pink. In this life I could have anything I wanted. Toys, dresses, snacks. There was nothing I couldn't have, last year my daddy bought me a pony. Tuli brushed my hair into an elaborate half up half down style.
“My my, lady Ludocielle you’ll be the most beautiful girl at the party” she pulled the custom made dress from my closet.
Aunt Tali helped me make it. She lived in a dukedom not far from here where they made the best dresses. “I’m so excited! I want cheesecake!” I stood up, letting Tuli wrap the dress around me. I was told my daddy had a special surprise for me tonight.
The dress was long and pink decorated with flowers and butterflies. Aunt Tali picked out the butterflies, not sure why though.
Tuli placed a crown on my head pressing in a loose butterfly charm. “You can have all the cake you want princess” she took my hand leading me to the ballroom.
The place was surely a party fit for a princess, with more people than my last party. More snacks than I've ever seen, and a large stack of presents.
A surprisingly dull looking man straightened as he looked. He cleared his throat before yelling “ The Fourth Princess Ludocielle has made her arrival!”. All eyes turned to the top of the stairs as I let go of tuli’s hand.
I walked down through the ballroom up to the platform where my parents waited. My daddy with his long blue hair down along his shoulders and mommy her dirty blonde hair pulled into an elaborate bun. “Mommy,” I said, holding my arms out when I got close.
She smiled, bringing me onto her lap. “Happy birthday Ludocielle,” she said, holding me close. Mommy was a natural beauty, if she weren’t my mommy in this life I might have shot my shot. She no doubt is the rich daughter of a Ceo or something.
Then she handed me off to daddy who squeezed me too tight. “You’ve grown so big, Ludocielle I can't believe my baby girl is growing up!” He looked like a man child. But daddy was quite handsome as well, not as pretty as mommy but pretty darn good looking. I was definitely blessed when it came to genetics. Good thing too, I was pretty bland in my past life.
“Daddy, I want cake!” I pointed down at the table down stairs.
Daddy frowned, jealousy seething off of him. Mommy put a hand on his arm “don’t be like that dear, it’s her birthday. While she’s doing that you can get your surprise ready” she winked at him.
“Fine,” he let me down.
I didn’t know my daddy was preparing a surprise for me, I wonder what it was? Maybe a second pony? I skipped down the stairs of the platform heading straight for the cake table.
As i grabbed the knife to cut myself a slice i was suddenly surrounded by a crowd. “Oh princess you look adorable, where’d you get that dress?” said one girl.
“Don’t be stupid, she got it from Fantasma-vendicativo” another snapped.
“No way! It must have been from Varadio” they kept arguing.
They were all wrong, my aunts lived in Lelectia. But I had other things to worry about. Each and every girl there was in my way from getting my precious cake. I looked down before pointing the knife in my hand at one of the girls, “move, outta my way!” I swung it around making them all recoil. I could have asked nicely but they were being so loud.
I finally cut myself a piece of diamond chocolate cake, they had a cake like this in my other life. I was popular on the internet because it sold for $850,000. Crazy to think all I had to do was ask to get a cake just like it.
It’s not like I have no dreams, when I'm big enough I'll do what my brother never let me. I’ll go off on my own and travel the entire world. I stood next to the table taking slice after slice of cake.
“Hey baby sis!” two hands clutched my shoulders.
I looked up, two big red eyes that were identical to mine staring back down at me. “Oak!” set my plate down wrapping my older brother in a hug.
“I saw you scare away those girls, nice going Luci!” he smiled. Oak was the second prince, but because husk was becoming king he decided he’d become a knight to protect him. Kind of like aunt Erie and mommy, just much less tragic.
“Anyways i came for your birthday dance, i gotta do it before dad gets a chance” he smirked. I couldn’t help but giggle, taking his hand and letting him drag me out onto the dance floor.
