Akiya woke up, when he heard knocking on the door. He got up, left the room and walked to the door.
He peered through the viewfinder. He saw, to his surprise, the conqueror. Quite a tall, slim, blonde-haired conqueror with really big, blue eyes.
“Who are you?” he asked with distrust, although the mere fact that he spoke at all was a sign that he was rather not afraid of this youngster.
The conqueror trembled. He probably didn’t expect that anyone would want to talk to him.
“I’m Uchida Kazuma. My leaders send me here” he announced.
“Oh, Kazuma” Akiya laughed shortly, ajaring the door. “How can I be sure you won't kill me?”
“I won't. Masashi said we can hear your footsteps” replied Kazuma.
Akiya finched, hearing Masashi’s name. The best conqueror was a terror for vampires. But probably only Masashi knew, how to tell the difference between red and blue vampires. And that’s why vampires with blue auras were afraid of him, but also respected him. Besides that, Masashi had never killed anyone from their club.
“Masashi… Okay, come in” Akiya let Kazuma inside. “Dai, come here!”
Dai left his room, a little sleepy. He looked at Akiya, then at Kazuma and woke up immediately.
“You’re alive…” he whispered.
“That’s Kazuma” announced Akiya, picking Kazuma up and putting him on the barstool. “By the way, why did your leaders send you here?”
“They wanted to thank you” explained Kazuma. “I mean, you and Sakamo. For helping me and Kousuke.”
“Oh, I see” Akiya looked at his scarf. “You let him drink your blood, didn’t you?”
Kazuma flinched as if Akiya caught him red-handed.
"You're right..." he admitted.
Dai just shook his head.
"I'll give him some water. He looks like he's going to faint" he said and poured water to the glass, then gave it to Kazuma.
"Thanks" Kazuma took one of the straws from the bar, put it in a glass and started to sip water through it.
"So Sakamo really helped you last night?" asked Akiya.
Kazuma nodded.
"And he told you where our club is?" Yuji joined the conversation. "A bit irresponsible."
"I haven't told anyone where, it is!" denied Kazuma. "That's why they sent me here. Because only I know the way."
"Kazuma?" Sakamo, who left the room, apparently intrigued by the heated discussion, was surprised. "What are you doing he..."
Kazuma jumped from the chair and walked to Sakamo, then gave him a small box.
"It's for you" he said. "As a thanks for saving me. From Kawakami and Aoshi, our leaders."
"Thank you" Sakamo smiled slightly. "So they're still in that position?"
"Yes" admitted Kazuma, turning around and handing Akiya another box. "And this is for saving Kousuke. Also from them."
"Wow, I got something from the conquerors" Akiya laughed shortly. "Thanks, kid. Send these leaders of yours my greetings."
"Of course. And now, I should go already" Kazuma walked towards the door.
"Wait!" Sakamo put the box in his pocket. "I'll walk you out. Something else can happen to you."
"Thanks, Sakamo" Kazuma smiled friendly and left the club with Sakamo.
"Their friendship is sweet" said Suna.
They didn't know, when and how he found himself against the wall and now he was reading a book.
"What did you get?"
Akiya opened the box, unsure what he would find there. He was confused, when he found a piece of paper there. It had some address written on it.
"What's this, an adress of their Shelter?" asked Ikari, looking through his shoulder.
"Probably" Akiya nodded. "But wait. Sakamo was a conqueror too. What did he get?"
"Maybe a key?" suggested Suna.
"Key?" Yuji was confused.
"From what Sakamo told me, windows in the Shelter are locked with bars. I think that he got a key to Kazuma's window. That way he won't have to ask for permission to be let in every time" explained Suna.
"You're always looking for a deeper meaning" noticed Dai.
"They're friends. I saw Kazuma cry over his asleep soul. I guess they want to renew this friendship. And it's right" Suna closed the book. “The longer something holds him to his humanity, the longer he'll have a blue aura."
