Something between a humanoid and an animal, crouching on the floor. It seems he was eating something. They were slowly approaching to get a better look. They saw what the thing was eating. A kind of dead, rotting and raw animal. Astir almost threw up when he saw that and made a reject sound. The thing noticed it and suddenly turn his head at them. It was definitely a humanoid. Maybe a Chelone but the colors didn’t add up. He wasn’t green he was more like a very light purple, but only on some of his body parts. Maybe it was due to an infection or he was hybrid.
Otherwise he was fully white. Well maybe, he was covered in mud. His eyes were definitely blind, they were glassy and white. Both of them with big scars going from his eyebrows to his chin. After a few seconds of pure starring, the probably Chelone got up and started to run. Astir and Kornog jumping out of their hiding and followed him. It was the first humanoid Astir saw in almost two weeks and he really wanted to talk to him.
The Chelone was moving in a very weird way. Kind of like an animal but not fully integrated. Anyway he was very hard to follow. Sometimes he was close to the floor almost crawling, under bushes that were forming a tunnel, which was way too small for Kornog and even Astir. At other times he was jumping from branch to branch. They didn’t have any visibility or space and no idea where they were running, only the apparition knew. As they were following him, they started to wonder if they should stop or not. In the end, it was just a weird Chelone that they were following. Like it could be bad to meet him or got trapped by him. Maybe he was crazy or even worse a murderer in hiding. Wait. Nobody ever saw an Anaon before. They just assume the village got destroyed by them but maybe it was something else. Well they lived near the lake before and over there, at the end of the cliff was the river flowing down from the lake. Was it even a Chelone. They had no way to be sure. Yeah, they could catch it but the more they were running after him the more worries and conjectures were growing inside of Astir’s mind. It was necessary that he stayed alive, for Septem, hopping her to be alive, for the village, to not let them disappear definitely. Now he was regretting not talking about them to the Guild. If they did that, at least a few people would know and investigate what happened. Not only the two of them or just him. He had a memory duty.
While he was half lost in his thought, they uncork in a glade surrounded by trees and a huge clod of earth, forming a hut in a corner. They were at the thing home. He was sitting on top of it. Judging them. Apparently observing them and choosing whatever he was gonna do with them.
Both of them stopped. Looked at each other, waiting for the Chelones to talk.
