I had a feeling this boy would be trouble.

“Or use the cash machine, if you have money but it’s in notes.” He added.

“Isn’t that stealing?”

“Well, they did leave their bags out, and who cares?”

“Well-”

“What’s up? You’re scared?” He grinned.

“What! No-” My voice was rather defensive.

Gabriel grabbed some coins from his pocket. “Then do it, or don’t, I won’t care either way, but you’ll live knowing you were too scared to pick some coins up, and you won’t get to play street fighter.” He started putting a coin towards the slot in the street fighter machine.

“Go on, where is the cafe, then.”

“I’ll take you.” Gabriel walked towards the arcades exit, I followed.

“So, you from around here or?” I asked?

“Yea, I’m guessing you’re not?” He looked at me.

“Not really” I looked back at him, in the eyes. I think I felt my heart beat a little faster.

“Where are you from then?” He looked away.

“Portugal, but my family is staying here in Luxembourg for a bit.” I also looked away, after another few seconds of staring.

“How come?”

“Parents are authors, fathers a detective as well, they get invited to go places a lot.”

“So, you move around then?” He asked.

“More like they buy a house everywhere they can.”

“Ah, well we’re here.” He nodded to his right, it was a rather nice cafe, just looked a bit small.

“So I just take it?” I asked.

“Well, yea”

I looked at the tables, Gabriel had been right, people just left their bags unattended. “People are coming out rather quickly, by the time I get into someone’s bag, they’d probably be back, or someone would see me. So I should probably wait until someone leaves loose change, like a tip or something on a table, right?”, I thought.

“Well are you going or not, then?” Gabriel asked.

“Let me just.” I walked over to a man who looked to be in about his early to mid twenties.

“Hmm?” He looked at me.

“Hello sir, i am Cassian Taylor Lewis Barlowe”

“And?”

“Give me money”

“Why?”

“Because i said to”

“Fair enough, just fuck off” The man threw twenty pound at me.

“Thanks” I ran back to Gabriel.

“What did you say to him?” He asked.

“Just told him my name.”

“And he gave you money?” Gabriel raised an eyebrow.

“Yea.”

“Kind of weird..” He muttered. “Well, wanna go back to the arcade?”, he started walking in the direction of the arcade.

“Sure”
