Spear and Fangs 

Nichole awoke on the sandy seafloor the endless blue surrounding her illuminating the darkness of the Sea, “Where … Where am I “She asked.  Around her were hundreds of spears, she attempted to contact the captain but was met with nothing but static. Her boots no longer felt heavy but instead weightless, she searched around trying to find where she was, in the distance she saw a lamp stuck on a spear. Suddenly the ground started shaking, she looked up above to see the tentacles that had attacked her squadron react into something. A thunderous roar was heard and a gleaming red glow, she knew this was the beast she had been hunting all these years. Nichole picked up one of the spears and threw it at the beast, The spear bounced off. Nichole grabbed more and more of the floor launching it towards the beast, all of them bouncing off or breaking. The beast glared at her, making its way towards her, Nichole kept throwing more and more spears at it with no effect . The beast opened its jaws attempting to swallow her up in one big gulp.  Nichole jumped away from it, Barely dodging its chomp , Nichole was shocked how high she was . Nichole landed, running for the lamp , The beast screamed , A gust a wind slammed Nichole back to the ground .  The beast’s horn started glowing brighter as Nichole crawled towards the Lamp. “Alright let’s hope this works “ She said , grabbing the spear she smashed it into the Lamp . The spear began to Flicker before bursting into flames at the top “Alright got to make this one count “ She held the spear in her hand , waiting for the perfect shot . The beast now glowing red, Charged towards her, Jaws open with his large gnawing Teeth . Nichole took a deep breath, closed her right eye and Flung the Spear right at the Beast Gaping Jaw . The beast was hit, The flame spewing from its mouth , burning it’s chest . The Beast made a deafening shriek as it attempted to swim up before crashing towards the ground. Nichole’s heart beating faster and faster , She took a deep breath and calmed it . She grabbed a spear and walked towards the beast, She slowly raised her spear , ready to kill the beast that took her daughter’s life . “WAIT ! “A voice rang from above , Suddenly Nichole’s boots began to feel heavy . As she fell to her knees, The captain and some of the soldiers floated down “ You did it girl ! “He cheered . The soldiers surrounded her “Sir “ She yelled “ I can’t move “ The Captain sighed “ I know , I’m sorry Nichole but I can’t have you killing this thing “ Nichole screamed “ WHAT ! BUT THIS THING KILLED ME DAUGHTER “Suddenly the rest of her suit felt heavy as she was struggling to even stand up . The captain continued “About 5 years ago we were in a tough spot, Monsters were hiding , bills started to add up and I was out of options . So I went digging and boy you won’t believe what I found “The soldiers chuckled , Nichole heart began to sink “ I didn’t mean to wake it up , Nor did I mean to doom everyone at the fair , But I couldn’t let it go … I needed my crew, Everything I worked so hard to build , I can’t let it crumble “ Nichole’s suit fell to the floor “ YOU !!! YOU … YOU WOKE IT UP! YOU KILLED MY BABYGIRL “Her voice began to break . “I’m sorry Nichole , I really am but I need this thing to get me back on top . After my presentation, you and your husband will be properly paid for your help “ The captained placed his. Hand on the Beast’s Back ,It’s breath wheezing , barely clinging onto life . “YOU BASTARD I’ll kill you !!! “She screamed at him  . Suddenly gas sprayed from the inside of her helmet, She started feeling dizzy before ultimately falling unconscious . Large claws dropped from above “There they are “ The captain said with a wide smile “ Lock her in the brig “ .
