“That was an act of violence against someone who is telling you right from wrong.” She pushed her chair back, causing it to scrape against the wood flooring, and stormed out. Alester stood up, and instead of following his mother, he went straight to me. “Are you alright? You might need to see a doctor.” I watched his face of concern, and I nodded. “I’m alright. I probably will need a doctor though.. There might be some glass up there.” He shook his head. “I dislike her views. That’s why I got servants from different nationalities, but I guess she doesn’t see the importance in treating people like actual people. I might call you guys servants, but you’ll notice you all have freedom. You guys can go home whenever you want.” I nodded my head. “Does she know where my dog is at?” He shook his head ‘no’. “No, and I don’t plan on telling people. I’ll show you though after we finish eating. Come on, let's eat.” His father was still sitting at the table, and he enjoyed talking to Jeremy.
After dinner, and they took care of the plates and all, we went to go check up on our dogs. Winston was ready to greet me at the door, and Nyx was already jumping on Alester’s leg. I scooped up my dog, and soon there was a loud cough, or someone clearing their throat. We both turned around to see his mother was standing there. “I see your crass servant has a dog?” Winston growled, baring his teeth. Which, Alester could tell, really surprised me. “Winston, stop that! Where did you pick that up?” He barked at her, and tried squirming out of my arms. I held him tight to me. Alester helped me get to my room, and I put Winston in there. I shut the door behind me, and all you could hear was his snarling and barking. “I am so, so sorry for his behaviour. He’s had all his shots and things, so I don’t understand why he is being like this.” She scoffed again. “Well.” And that was the only word she said as she went to her room again.
I got to my room later that night to hear her and her husband having a heavy talk over her behaviour. She was clearly becoming upset, which soon the chatter from them stopped. I sat at my desk, and soon heard a small knock on my door. I got up to open it, and saw that it was Alester’s mother. “I’m sorry for my behaviour towards you and your people. I’m also sorry for what I had said as well.” I smiled at her, and laughed. “Ma’am, I'd rather you go apologise to Jeremy, Finnigan, Althea and Penelope.” She nodded her head. “Alright.. But, do you take my apology?” I nodded my head. “I do, ma’am. But it’d be of better priority to apologise to them.” She nodded her head again, turned and walked away. Alester’s dad gave me a thumbs up, and went back into the bedroom. I felt a hand on my shoulder, and I turned to see Alester himself. “Where did my mother go?” I told him the general direction she went, and he followed that.
