My friends still insisted on keep drinking with them but i will pass out if i keep going. I came out of there for some fresh air. Feeling all heavy "ah my head hurts". I could move alright atleast otherwise it would've been a problem. I don't know where i was heading towards but i sat on a free chair. This area is rather peaceful and less people around.
"Drunk?", A voice pop out from beside me. Ah I didn't realise someone was sitting beside me. My eyes followed the voice and found the source. Took me while to see the blurred face clearly.
"!"
My slightly pink face flushed into a red. The lady from yesterday-! Gotta say, this is the first time i loved meeting someone coincidentally.
The lady was still waiting for a response and i replied, "ye..ah..."
I wish i wasn't drunk right now. An awkward silence broke in.
Ah I wanted to talk more..
As if she sensed my sadness, she forwarded a chicken wing to me and said, "where are your friends? Came alone?"
"They are still drinking." I responded soon after.
" How about you?" I asked.
"Well you could say, i was dragged here. So enjoying the food while being here", she said while chewing the spicy chicken wing. "Look at you, in a nice suit. Haha I look really out of place, right?"
That laugh didn't sound genuine. I blinked and calmly listened to her.
"I will make her pay for this seriously" she gritted her teeth.
"Sigh, atleast say something, i feel like an idiot talking to myself." She gave me a tired look.
We aren't close, nor know each other enough to call friends. We are practically strangers. But for this moment i wanted to stop the time forever.
"You look beautiful today." I said.
She threw a surprised face at me.
Is this what they call liquor confidence? I could finally speak the words in my mind out loud.
"Pfft", She laughed. "Haha do you love to catch people off guard or something?"
She laughed-! I am literally on cloud nine.
"Not with everyone but only with you." I smiled while my face all flushed.
She smiled. And chomped down another piece of chicken.
"You are the one who drink but i feel like i am the one who is drunk." She added,"talking and behaving like an idiot in front of a stranger."
I was still listening to her. She kept talking, but i didn't mind. I loved listening to her. She caught up in the moment and let out all her build up frustration from here and there, while i ate more pieces of chicken wings.
"Yknow," i said filled with liquor confidence. "It really sucks that you will be the only one who will remember this evening after i will wake up tomorrow." I said with a sad smile. "I wish i wasn't drunk right now. I really want to..remember today." By the end i completed the sentence i blacked out into a slumber. I wasn't able to see her face after what i said in the end.
An everyday romance with bad joke tendency between a girl with book fever (and strange standards) and an optimistic gentle guy who can't read the room.
