A DAY TO REMEMBER 

Thomas woke up in the brig, His body still tingling from the shock he received earlier “Nichole “He shouted jumping from the floor he was previously drooling on. He turned around to see Nichole crouched down silent crying “Nichole! Where are we? “Nichole didn’t answer him, simply shaking “Nicky , What’s wrong “ Thomas asked her “ They….. They lied to “Nichole muttered, voice breaking “They … they found it , they let it lose that day …. At the fair “. Thomas was shocked at her reveal “He… He lied to me, HOW COULD I BE SO STUPID “Thomas did not like to see his wife sad, but her grief could not be stopped “babe, it’s okay-“ Nichole interrupted him screaming “ NO ITS NOT OKAY ! STOP SAYING THAT! “She stood up shouting at him “You… you never acted like you cared, I never saw you cry , YOU NEVER WANTED TO TALK ABOUT IT ! “The tears kept streaming down her face “I DIDN’T WANNA GO BUT I FELT LIKE I HAD NO CHOICE! I FAILED AS A MOM “Thomas wanted to hug her, but the bars of the cell stopped him. “Baby … I dream about that day every night, I live out there because I missed you, You didn’t fail her babe “Thomas stuck out his hand to grasp hers . Nichole wanted to pull away but couldn’t get her arm to move “I aunt good with dealing with my feelings, all I know to do is ignore them and I’m sorry “ Nichole grasped Thomas’s hand tighter , trying to calm her tears . “I’m sorry too “she said “ I never should have left , Never should have joined them “ She held Thomas’s arm tighter as she scooted closer to the bars . Thomas held the bracelet on his arm tight “You know where I got this ? “Nichole looked into his eyes “That day at the fair when you left Cecelia made this for you . She said I worked on this all week for mommy’s birthday “The couple chuckled , Thomas continued “ She wanted me to give you this as a gift , I’ve held onto it ever since …. My only thing left from her “Thomas’s voice started to break, Nichole stuck her arm though the bars , holding her husband’s rugged face “ I’m sorry for tazing you “ Nichole said “ Don’t worry about it “ Suddenly the door’s on both their cells opened . “What?! “Thomas chuckled holding a keycard in his hands “When you so lovingly elocuted  me , I stole your keycard “ Nichole chuckled . Thomas stepped out of the jail before being pulled back, Nichole grabbed his arm and embraced him in a kiss. Thomas missed the touch of Nichole’s lips and held her closer. “I love you “Nichole replied , Thomas smiled , tears streaming down his face “ I love you too “ . The couple headed towards the briefing room “Where are we “asked Thomas scanning the room “ Galveston , He put together a whole show for his execution “ Nichole replied , angry at herself for ever trusting them . Thomas grabbed the Sparkling lasso on the Captain’s chair before slowly walking towards the roundtable ,  Thomas held the pictures of the Victims in his hands. Nichole looked at him puzzled “Thom, what’s wrong “ Thomas slammed down the pictures “ We have to stop them “ Nichole was confused “ Why would we do that ?! The beast is as good as dead Thom “Thomas grabbed her by the shoulders “It’s not the beast you need to kill “ Nichole was even more puzzled  she eyed the pictures Thomas held , suddenly it all made sense “ It’s the Moths “

The stage was set, stadium was packed, The captain had made it. Fame, glory and wealth were right in his grasp, After today the whole world would know his name. Galveston city was a newly built city, a tourist spot, Home to some of the biggest events in the world , The whole city showed up for the grand execution . The captain dusted off his boots, shined his hat and walked to the microphone , The stadium was gigantic , more than 500 people lined in the seats , The press were everywhere , all eyes on Him and his prey. “HELLO GALVESTON “He announced to the crowd “ For years me and my crew THE CRIMSON VIPERS !! Have been chasing this beast “The near dead creature stood behind him, Its size Almost filling the whole stage . “Me and my team have finally captured this beast, The one who took your homes , your families ! “The crowd cheered and screamed, some of the attendees had been families all attacked by this giant , Their homes destroyed and love ones slaughtered . The captain reined in the roaring crowd and continued “Dear people of this wild sea, many creatures roam here , dangerous ,deadly , horrific ones . But fear not we are here, The best monster hunters in the sea “He walked over to grab his prized weapon , An  emerald green shotgun , Bullets made out of gold and his signature marked on the helm . He pointed the gun right at the beasts head “Watch now people, this moment will mark the rise of the crimson vipers , We will protect you and this whole sea !! “The crowd yelled excitedly, The captain held his gun at the beast’s head , ready to end this creatures life and reap his rewards . Seconds away from firing his weapon, a moth landed on his Hand, The captain chuckled . Suddenly more arrived on him, The captain attempted to shake them off but more and more appeared. The captain started to feel drained, tired, Then a sting in his arm , the sting started to irritate him more until it grew to pain . He looked at his arm and saw his skin peeling, The captain tried to scream for help, He felt his mouth fill with blood . He let out a hoarse cough, then looked down to see his tongue on the ground. He was filled with terror, He couldn’t hear a sound , He looked towards the crowd to see them running in terror , trying to call for his men when he saw the moths begin to swarm them . The captain turned around to see the mighty beast was gone, His right eye popped out, Blood clouding his left eye , Looking up he saw it . The giant beast was bigger and his horn shined brighter, opening his jaws towards the Captain. CHOMP!
