Read Band Kids Novel :: Episode 3, or when we plan to have Carmen come in

Brie's POV: I'm laying down in my bed with Einlsye in front of the AC. We're basically baking in the heat. We have the window open just in case of a cold breeze. It's not as hot as the heat wave in 2021 though, THAT was literal hell. "Do we have to Brie?" Einsley asked "I'm too sweaty and hot to put on the uniforms, Especially the winter one"

"Yes, we do!" I responded, "I wanna see what we look like!" "Fine, only for you though" Einsley spoke. "Thanks!" I responded. We tried on all the uniforms, showcasing them to each other. Suddenly, I remembered Carmen's coming today, and she's getting off her plane soon! "Hey, isn't that girl Carmen coming around now?" Einsley asked me. "Yup, she is. I gotta go and pick her up Einsley, be back soon" I answer

I take off my uniform, change into some summer clothes, and say bye to Einsley since we'd have to leave and pick up Carmen. My dad drives over to the airport so we can pick her up, I think her plane is arriving in a few minutes.

3 minutes later...

I see a bunch of people getting off the plane, along with a girl around my age with Brown hair with a hot pink ombre, and a ton of winter clothes on. "I see her, I see her!' My brother shouts. I hope she speaks English well, I can understand Spanish pretty well, but I can't speak it because it sounds odd. She runs up to us and greets us - "Hello, I'm Carmen, You must be the Garcias'?" She had a thick accent "Yes, we are. *Bienvenda a Canada*, Carmen." My dad told her, shaking her hand. "**Muchas Gracias, Señor Garcia**. Thank you, Mr. Garcia" Carmen replied

Translation: *Welcome to Canada, **Thank you, Mr. Garcia

We headed back and Einlsey had already left, she had to go and do something at her house but I'm still happy I get to hang out with a new friend!

Carmen's POV: I was top of my class in English back In Colombia, I think I'll do just fine being here. The family I'm staying with seems nice. It'll be a lovely stay here. It's nice a hot today so I'm feeling nice and warm. I'm still getting settled in but I already feel at home, maybe it's due to the heat or the fact that the Garcias' are so welcoming. Not sure which it is. I'm going to get some clothes though. It doesn't get Canada cold in Columbia so I'm buying some winter clothes. And just clothes in general for the shift in the environment.

I bought a rain jacket, Winter coat, pants, snow boots, rain boots, gloves, mittens, cozy sweaters, and much more. That's all I could think of at the moment. I'm excited about life in Canada. EEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!
