Kole hated the building that seemed to luster in front of him. This building happened to be a possible new workplace. He was tempted let himself walk home but knew his Mom would give him a lecture and drone on and on about how he wasn’t special and needed to work escpcially because he needed college funds. So, he took a deep breath and walked in for his interview.
As the secretary’s desk started to appear in front of him as he walked on, Kole grew increasingly nervous. When he got there he noticed a tall woman with brown hair sorting papers. “Uhm, excuse me? I’m Kole Griffin, I’m here for an interview.” Kole said. “Ah yes, give me a moment to sort these papers then I will give you a few papers that I need you to sign to verify some things before you see the boss.” The woman answered. “Alright, where should I wait? Asked Kole. “You can sit over by the windows over there.” The woman responded pointing to a few comfy looking chairs by the window.
Kole walked over and decided on the chair closest to the window so he could watch outside. As he watched the cars pass by he noticed a group of ducklings following their parents. It reminded Kole of when he was younger and followed his older sister, Clara, around. She was actually the one who suggested the job to him. Suddenly, a voice interrupted his thoughts. “Mr. Griffin? Here are the papers I need you to sign.” The woman said, handing him the papers and a pen. Kole said thank you and took the papers and pen she was offering and started to work.
Kole quickly finished them then walked over to the woman to hand them to her. “Thank you Mr. Griffin. The boss's office is down the hall to the right. Before you go though, since you seem like a good guy, here's some advice, the boss is a serious person and hates loud, peevish things so watch what and how you say things.” The woman told him before rushing him along.
Kole walked slowly down the hall before reaching the door the woman told him about. He then took a deep breath and walked inside.

It had been a week since Kole came back from his interview. He was currently awaiting the email he had been anticipating the whole week. He had his computer open to gmail and kept refreshing the page. Kole personally thought that his interview went well and he got the job but that was just him.
One week ago; "You must be Kole Griffin?" said a man sitting at a desk while wearing an expensive looking suit. "I'm Darius Milic, the boss here at Milic Attorneys, please take a seat." he continued pointing to a chair in front of his desk, motioning for Kole to sit in it. Kole sat down while Mr. Milic sat down at his desk. "You are applying to be the secretary's assistant, is that correct?" Mr. Milic asked."Yes that is." Kole responded.
Mr. Milic then proceeded to ask Kole the interview questions. When he finished the questions, Mr. Milic told Kole that they were expecting a few more interviews and they would try and get back to him by the end of the week.
Now Kole was sitting in front of his computer continuously reloading the page waiting for the email about the interview. He had received a message from the office that the person for secretary's assistant had been decided and email of who it was would be sent out to the people who had participated in the interviews by 5pm that day.
It was currently 5:02 reloaded the page and noticed that the email had come. Kole sat watching the computer for another 3 minutes before finally building up the confidence to open the email. He quickly scanned through the email only to realize that he had been picked for the job! He also read that he started the following Monday at 8:30 and since it was currently Saturday afternoon he had to start getting ready!
It was now 8:23 on Monday and Kole once again stood in front of the building from last week. He had a coffee from Starbucks to try and calm his nerves but it didn't seem to be working.
Kole decided to walk through the door to check in. He then walked up to the secretary's desk where the same woman from the week before was standing there. At that moment she looked over and noticed him. "Oh! Welcome Mr. Griffin, congratulations on the position!" The woman said. "Thank you, where should I go to start? Kole asked. "First just sign your name here then,go see Mr. Milic for further instructions." The woman said passing Kole the sign in sheet for the day.
Kole signed his name before proceeding to his new boss's office. As he walked down the hall he noticed other offices which had other names on them. "Those must be the other lawyers' offices" he thought to himself while continuing his walk onward.
When he got there he knocked on the door before hearing a voice say, "Come in Mr. Griffin, I've been expecting you." Kole immediately went into the office. "What should I do to start?" Kole asked. "Please for now just sit at the desk over there and sort these papers." Mr. Milic said, pointing to a desk in the corner of his office while handing him some papers.
Kole went to the desk and sat down to start sorting the papers. He soon realized just how easy it was. "Hmm, maybe this job isn't as bad as I originally thought to myself before continuing on with sorting the papers.
