(Dungeons and Dragons inspired. Character is my own)
His entire body shuddered as he knelt before the god.
"Anwir." The soft yet harsh tone made him want to run yet he stayed still only flinching at the voice, "Look at me," Anwir raised his head the genderless form before him shifting undescribable, ethereal, unrivaled. "You have wronged. You have disobeyed my great order and disrespected ME." The great hall shook at the gods' anger.
The young angel before it shirked into his wings, "Yes." Anwir's voice wavered, eyes filling with tears.
"You my beautiful angel have committed unspeakable acts. You have left me with no choice."
Finally Anwir moved to plead at the gods feet, flowing cloth moving with him, never showing off his form, jewelry the god had adorned him with in gratitude and honor, "No no no! I swear it won't happen again! Please! It was a mistake!" His voice broke as tears dropped against the shimmering ground, wings splayed in reverence, "I'll take any other punishment! Just not that, please don't do that to me!"
It waved its hand and the sparkling jewelry disappeared, it ignored Anwir's growing pleading. It then placed a hand upon Anwir's head. A heartbroken, painful scream echoed through the chambers. It stepped back watching with an emotion akin to sadness as the color drained from Anwir.
It watched the pale gold seep from Anwir's hair turning to a color like coal. The silver of his skin faded to a pasty, unsightly white. His beautiful golden eyes that shone the color of the sun landed on it's. Full of pain and betrayal as his vision went blurry and his eyes faded to a pale white. He screamed until his throat was raw. His wings felt as if they snapped as the clean white feathers fell off and his wings became skeletal husks if what they once were.
His screams faded as blood dripped from his nose, spilled out of his mouth, and poured from his eyes. He reached out to the god with one hand as the other slipped in the blood and he collapsed to his side.
The god felt pity for the small thing, it had been in its service for eight years, since his very birth yet on his very first mission he had made a grave mistake. Had fallen prey to evil. The god made a decision of passing grace that none of the other banished had been offered.
It drew the small thing up in its arms as he went soundless. Anwir's empty eyes drifted to focus on his gods eyes, colorless yet full of everything.
"You may return to me once you have redeemed yourself. Do only good until your light returns, then you may return to me my little angel. Now go."
The god waved it hand over the tired boy's body and he drifted into a dreamless sleep and he disappeared. Something similar to sadness washed over it. He had been so devoted, so beautiful, yet he could do so much better. It knew that and so it had tricked him and had truly betrayed him but no one would come to know that.
