Thomas and Nichole set a course to the city , “ I don’t understand “ Replied Nichole pulling the anchor to pick up speed . He pulled the wheel , turning left “ The moths are the parasite , the beast is just the host “ . She  had stolen some weapons from the Crimson Vipers , loading the shells “ So that’s why the fire worked , It’s nothing but an empty husk at this point “ Thomas finished her  sentence “ At this point it’s nothing but a zombie , The beast probably died years ago now it’s just a sick creature that needs to be put down “ As the boat turned the corner The duo Entered the shattered City . Up above Nichole’s head A large object floated by , The object was a piece of a skyscraper ripped in half “ Looks like we here “ Thomas said with a large sigh . Galveston had looked like the whole city had been cut in halves , Skyscrapers torn in half , Street broken into multiple pieces , Military and Police ships floating around , Lifeless corpses floating everywhere . “ Oh my gods “ Nichole said , Feeling guilt for unleashing this horror on the innocent people , Thomas felt fear but shushed it away ,  he planned to rid the world of this Atrocity . In the center of the destroyed city stood the beast , Covered in a red glow , The moths formed a large circle  around  it , feeding their host more and more blood making it more powerful . “ Shit …. “ Thomas grabbed the silver lasso he had stolen from the late Captain , “ What’s the plan ? “ Nicole asked “ I don’t know “ Thomas replied sighing , He knew the odds of them surviving were slim to none . Nicole grasped his hand “ Okay we know it doesn’t like fire and if we kill the moths we kill the beast “ Thomas sat down in his chair , Laying his hands on his stomach “ After the slaughter there’s probably hundreds of them in there a little fire won’t do anything “ Nichole sighed and looked around to notice a shredded skyscraper with a  gasoline tank right in the middle , An  idea popped in Nichole’s head . “ I’ve got an idea , but you’re probably going to hate it “ Nichole said and grabbed a strange weapon “ Get his attention and I’ll handle the rest “ Before Thomas could react she gave him a kiss , The two held each other for a while , They didn’t know if this would be the last time . Nichole opened the Door and leapt out , the current guiding her . Thomas noticed one of the shredded pieces had canons , he leapt out the Boat and swam towards the shattered building,  The beast stood with an army of Moths surrounding it , Thomas glaring at it as he reached a ladder . Thomas walked up the ladder and reached the canon , Thomas took a deep breath before holding the reins . “ HEY MOTHERFUCKER !!! “ The beast ears heard him but ignored it . “ THIS IS FOR MY FAMILY “ He screamed , loading the shots he started firing at it . Thomas began raining down shots at the beast . It roared , Then its horn began to glow bright , The moths started forming , looking like a large orb . The beast roared , with a flick of its tail , it  sent 3 large glowing orbs towards him . Thomas gave a smirk firing all of his ammo towards them , The Glowing orbs hurdled faster towards them , Thomas firing his barrage hit one then another . “ Is that all you go-“ Before Thomas could finish , The last orb hit the building . Nichole reached her destination climbing up the ladder , He looked over to see Thomas floating unconscious with his right arm missing , The beast 12 feet away from his Jaw’s open , Nichole still had one floor to go before reaching the Gasoline but could not let her Husband die . She readied her weapon , aiming her sights for the Beasts Hide , She fired her gun , A Harpoon launched out before splitting into 12 . The Beast roared as the Harpoon lashed into it , With a mighty thug Nichole pulled the beast back “ Come on you bastard ! a little closer … “ The beast made a earsplitting whistle and more moths came flying to it , The speed of the moths was ripping the Harpoons to pieces “ FUCK ME “ Nichole replied as all the Harpoons had been destroyed , The moths started to glow bright , making a formation around the Angry Beast . Suddenly the moths had stopped and the creature roared, The moth had formed the shape of wings like a butterfly around the Monster , It turned its gaze towards Nichole , It’s horn glowing brighter and growing . The beast sent more orbs towards Nichole , There  were still 4 floors above her , She hurried and climbed up the ladder , The floors being destroyed one after another . The beast stared at her , opening it’s wide wings it took flight , Dashing towards Nichole , Nichole had reached the final floor , She ran for the Gasoline tank , The beast only feet away from her . Nichole looked around for something to ignite it , but could find nothing , She looked at the Beast and took a deep breath “ I’ll see you soon baby “ . She opened her arms wide , accepting her sacrifice when suddenly a rope grabbed her . It was Thomas , Although on the verge of death he held the rope right “ COME ON!! “ He screamed , Nichole smiled and looked at the Beast one last time “ Goodbye Assholes “ With one last thug Thomas Launched Nichole towards him , The beast reached his destination chomping down the Building in one fell swoop , Thomas and Nichole saw the Beast erupt in flames , Letting out a earsplitting shriek before tumbling down. Its impact Crushing the remaining crumbs of the City .

Nichole and Thomas held each other , No words spoken , Thomas’s eye noticed one of the shotguns floating by, Grabbing it he swam down to the Monster’s deathbed . Nichole swam after it , Confused on where her Husband was going . The Beast lied on its back ,Moths burning alive  like Moths to a flame , Thomas arrived , Walking slowly , Barely clinging to life . His blood loss was making him Dizzy but he had a goal to fulfill , To slay the Monster once and for all . Nichole reached him finally , Her husband walked slowly towards the dying beast , Gun in hand , He pointed his Weapon at his head “ This is for my Daughter you piece of “ Suddenly Nichole stopped him , Grabbing his shoulder tightly , “ Thomas its’ dead “ Nichole said “ Let it die Thom “ Thomas stood silently , He wanted more than anything to get his revenge and avenge his daughter , But Nichole was right . The couple stood watching the life leave the Beast’s eyes then It’s skin turned pale before ultimately being nothing but bones . Thomas and Nichole stood in silence , Neither knowing what to do or say , Nichole looked at her now one- armed Husband and at the City now nothing but ruins and started to cry . She grabbed her husband tightly , The tears could not stop flowing , Thomas didn’t utter a word simply holding her . Thomas began to cry as well , The couple embraced each other , The sirens of the Militia behind them but they did not care , all they needed in this life was Each other . 

Epilogue 

Thomas and Nichole were interrogated by the Militia , To this day Scientists still haven’t discovered the nature of the Beast , Nor the Monstrous Moths , The couple lived in a calm sector of the sea , away from all , only fish as their neighbors , every night they gazed at the stars till the end of their days .
