My name is Lincoln Lynch.
If you are seeing this, I might be dead or Infected.

I used to think My life is going the right way after I found a job. But it became worse when I lost it after I accidentally ran over a boy who just walk across the road. I just tried to stop my car, but I couldn't.  I went over him. After that he was taken to a hospital, and I was on jail for two months. Two months later I was called to the court. I was hopeless and Afraid. But then the Judge said the boy was alive. But he was mindless and different. I told them I don't know what happened to him. They accused me That I did something to the boy. I was escorted back to my cell to spend more time in prison.

What I didn't expect was a policeman walked near us and bite one of the policemen who was escorting me. He just ripped off his skin and attacked the other policeman.  He pulled out his gun to shoot but he got bitten too. I quickly ran to the courtroom to tell there's something wrong.

When I reached the courtroom I saw more people like that wild policeman attacking more people.
I was hopeless once again. And then a Police officer came to me and freed me from handcuffs. Then he led me outside. More and more wild people were running out there.we ran into a car and started the engine. The Officer took the wheel and drove away from the city.

He asked me " Are you alright? Are you bitten ?"

I said "Luckily I wasn't bitten "

He stopped near a supermarket and collected some food and medical supplies.

There were more people who were panicked and Afraid. They were even fighting for stuff.

The Officer and I went back to the car and started drive. Some people came near our car and asked to give them a lift. But the officer ignored them and took us to a tall building.

We entered the building and closed the doors and Windows.  We went to upper floors to find a room . We found a room and we stopped there.

I asked the officer " What is actually happening? "

He said "It's a virus that turns people into monsters. Like in movies . Also I am John by the way "
I shaked his hands. And I thanked him for saving me. If it wasn't for him I would be biting people down now.

We spent two days in the building together. Luckily we had our mobile phones and a Tv in our room. Also there were more people inside the building in other rooms. We blocked the doors and Windows so that we won't get bitten.

On the Tv there were still cities that don't have any of the infected people. News reports said that even they don't know how the virus started to spread. Some people said it's a failed experiment or an alien made virus. Maybe it's just a virus. Who knows the truth ? We were trapped inside the building with limited resources. I wasn't sure if we could make it.

At night we heard creepy sounds from outside. We weren't sure if it is the infected or something else.

On day 3 We lost a Tv channel. The reporter killed himself in front of the camera by shooting himself. Then his body got eaten by the infected. We just saw it in the Tv. Then after some hours the Tv channel got lost.

On the social media there were news about Even Animals gets infected and becomes Feral. There were more news about quarantining the cities and blowing up bridges, blocking down roads and cutting all connections from city to city. The government ordered Air force to go to each cities and save the survivors. In our case we were at a building in Boston. We waited until we get saved by the air force.

Few days later a woman inside the building got sick. Everyone was scared that she could be infected.  But it was just fever. She died. Her body was wrapped up from clothes and thrown down from the building. Some infected saw it and started to eat the flesh. They were kinda smart. They even ripped of the clothes from the body and ate it.

On the television some doctors showed eveyone a body of an infected man. It was hideous to look at. His eyes were red and swollen. His skin wounds and scars. The skin was rotten like rotten meat. There were even worms coming out from holes on the skin. His nails were longer than a woman. Teeth were like a dog.

The Doctors said this infection could evolve more and mutate.  They said not to even touch an infected. Because even a small virus cell could go into a body fast. Thank god the doctors were wearing body suits to cover themselves.

At night again we heard the creepy sound. This time it came from close. Maybe it was a mutated one like the doctors said. Even the sound and a bit of a man's screaming voice. We covered the Windows with stuff Just in case. Day by day more cities got infected. It started to spread fast like a wind. John told me that he lost his Wife and Child after their house was attacked by infected. He started to cry and I hugged him to comfort him.I felt bad for John. I missed my parents . They were both dead for some years . A car accident.

The next day a neighbour got out of food. I shared what we had with him. He was happy and thanked me. He was an South Indian guy.he said he came to Boston looking for a job. He was ignored by many people because he was so thin and Black. He even said he had to be a begger for a week. Luckily he found this building.

After that day a guy got crazy and attacked some people inside the building. That guy was out of his mind. He wasn't infected. It was just cabin fever or stress I think. However some other guys locked him in a room. That day another guy got enough of the situation decided to suicide by cutting his wrists . No one knew he was dead until we checked his room. Poor guy. His name was Nick Solomon.

After 3 days everyone ran out of food. We were starved and sick. So five of men including me and John decided to go outside and grab some food from whereverwe can. We checked if there are infected near the doors. There was only like 3 infected near the door. We made weapons out of what we had. I had a baseball bat and John had a Baton . I thought he might have a pistol but he didn't. We got outside and sneaked pass the infected.  They weren't as fast as they were before. They were kinda slow and weak. We didn't try to take their attention. We split up and checked the market for food. I found some canned food and soda cans. I gathered them and put them to my bag. Unfortunately I dropped a can and it woke up a fat Infected guy . He was drooling and looked so disgusting. He suddenly screamed and charged against me. I quickly jumped away and pushed a trolley against him. I was luck enough to stuck him but he started to scream. I had to put him down. I attacked his head with the baseball bat until it stopped screaming.

Other guys came to me and helped me. Then we heard infected running toward us.we quickly ran back to the safe house. But John stopped and told me to keep running. He pulled out a pistol and started to Shoot the infected who were chasing us. I was dragged back to the safe house by others. I saw John sacrificing himself to save us. I will never forget that moment.

That night I was watching Infected John walking near the street. I felt really bad. That man was broken after he lost his family. I hope they will be happier in after life.

Then I saw something taller than a man with fur coming from it's body walking under the shadow. I was really freaked out after I saw it. I couldn't see it's face . I quickly closed down the Window. It was something else. I don't know what.

I missed John. He was a good man. I wish if I was the one who sacrificed to save others. That man saved my life twise. Now he is just walking as a feral , mindless, zombie on the street. I wanted end his suffering by killing him. I mean it isn't him now. He is dead. His body is alive and not the same.

I talked with others about bringing peace to John's soul. They agreed. Next morning we went outside again. We saw John, well, his body was eating a corpes. A guy gave me a Fire Axe. I went from behind him and struck down to his head. It was quick. He didn't even made a sound. While heading back to the safe house I saw John's pistol on the ground . I grabbed it. It only had a one bullet. I headed back to the safe house.

At the evening we heard someone knocking the door and calling for help.we checked who it is by window. It was Doctor , judging by his clothes. There were a pack of infected coming toward the building.  We quickly grabbed the Doc inside and locked the Doors. The infected attacked the doors and Windows. We all went to the upper floor and blocked the stairs and doors. We got trapped once again.

The Doctor we saved thanked us for saving him. He was kinda shocked and tired.
He said that It's not a zombie virus.it doesn't bring the dead alive. It just evolve the cells of our body faster. It kills off our memories and brain and make it more advanced. It makes them look like they are mindless but it is just making them more smarter. They mutate more and more . And when the night comes they becomes their evolved form. It's the next step of Evolution of Species.

Then the Doc started to vomit and jumped on to a woman. Then he bit her and attacked couple of others.They turned into infected fast and began to attack others. Me and other survivors ran to the upper floor and used the fire exit to climb down from the building. There were only 5 survivors.  Me and two men, a woman and a kid. When we got away from the building it was dark outside.

We used a torch to see but it took the attention of the infected.  They ran toward us . We ran fast as we could. The kid fell down and his mother went back to him. Both were caught by the infected. Me and the other two men ran away. But we got surrounded. 

Then that creepy scream came from somewhere.  The infected turned back and went away. We didn't know from where the sound came. And then something dragged one of the two men upward. Then blood dropped on to us.someting jumped down while holding the dead body of that man.

I can't explain how that thing was. It looked like a bear . It's eyes were glowing like light bulbs. It had long arms and sharp claws. It's intestines were visible and they were moving. It screamed again.  And it sounded like it was saying "Help me ". It jumped on the the other man and grabbed him by it's intestines. He screamed as I heard his bones break.

I quickly ran away and fell down to the sewer . The thing camed after me and bit my leg. I used the Axe to strike it's head and managed to escape. I walked so far and found an exit. I found a small hut and I went inside it. I locked the door and Windows. I could heard the infected banging the door. I felt so weak. I felt like I should sleep. I am really tired.
