Chapter 2
             Investigation Continues

Next morning Richard woke up after having a sleep. Strangely he was still wearing his shoes and there was mud on it. Richard was surprised after seeing it. He became more surprised when he saw a glass of milk is on the table. He went to the door and checked the lock. It was still locked. Richard thought that it was the hotel owner or any of his assistants came into the room and placed the Glass of milk there.

The Milk glass looked fresh and Richard drank it . Then he unlocked the door and went to the lower floor where The hotel owner was sitting.

" Thanks for the Glass of milk. It was delicious "
Richard told the hotel owner.

" What Glass of milk Sir ?"
The man asked

" The one inside my room "
Richard said.

" Your room was locked. I checked it few hours ago. Also I didn't prepared milk for anyone.  You must be misunderstood "
The man said.

" Come on . I will show you "
Richard escorted the hotel owner to room 6 to show the glass . But when they arrived the glass was missing even though the door was locked.

" It was just there . I mean it "
Richard tried to explain.

" You are wasting my precious time."
The man went back to the lower floor while Richard was confused about what's happening.  He checked around the room to find a clue but he didn't find anything.

Richard went to see Alan after having breakfast at the restaurant. Alan waiting where the woman was murdered. The body wasn't there. There was no trace .

" Ah Finally You cleaned that shit up . Bravo "
Richard said.

" What do you mean by that ?"
Alan asked.

" Where's the body ?"
Richard asked

" What body ?"
Alan asked

" The Woman's body that I checked yesterday. I came all the way for that "
Richard said with a impatient tone.

" Officer Richard You came few weeks ago to find a missing girl named Rachel."
Alan said.

" What the fuck are you saying ?
I came here to investigate a murder scene "
Richard yelled.

" There wasn't a murder here. Not recently. "
Alan said.

" What the fuck is wrong with you ? Did your fucking head got hit by something ?"
Richard yelled.

" Officer, I think you should take some rest. You look exhausted and sick. Last night you told me that you are having problems with sleeping "
Alan calmly said.

Richard was confused and angry . His face was full with anger and looked like a bell pepper. He took a deep breath to calm himself down.

" Is everything alright Officer ?"
Alan asked.

" Yeah . I am fine "
Richard went to check his car where he parked it yesterday but there wasn't a car . Instead there was a police jeep. Richard became more confused. He went near the jeep and checked it. It was locked. When Richard pulled out his car keys they weren't what they were before. The key was a jeep key with a key tag of an red apple. Richard opened the jeep door and checked the radio.

" This is Officer Richard. Can you hear me ?"
Richard asked over the radio.

" Oh Hey Rich. This is Paul. How are you doing ?"
Paul said over the radio.

" Listen . There's is something really going on with this fucking town. They say I came here some weeks ago to find a missing person. Can you belive that ?"
Richard Said.

" Well you went there two weeks ago . You haven't called us for a while. How goes the search for the girl ? Did you find anything? "
Paul asked.

" Stop shitting around. I came here to investigate a murder . It was a woman "
Richard said.

" Haha Very funny. You didn't even wanted to go there in the first place. Just do your job man. You will get paid well for this "
Paul said.

" You all are fucking crazy . I am out "
Richard ended the call with rage boiling in his body. He tried to start the jeep but it didn't move. Richard got out from the jeep and kicked it few times before leaving his way out from the town. He walked away from the town after walking in the deserted road. He saw a town at the horizon and he kept walking. When he came near to the town he realized it was Malvadapin town. He was confused and tired and then fell down. He passed out.

After time passed Richard woke up on a bed. It looked like a hospital from the inside.  There were no other patients on other beds. Richard was alone in the building. Confused Richard jumped out from his bed and checked outside by the window. There were few boys playing on the street. It was a strange sight to Richard because when he came to the town no one was seen outside. Everyone was just living inside their house like snails in their shells.

When Richard looked back Alan was standing near him.

" What happened to me ? How am I here ?"
Richard asked from Alan.

" Well , Me and some guys saw you laying on the ground and we took you all the way to this hospital. Take some rest "
Alan calmly said.

" I can't fucking rest. This town is a mess. I want to leave now !"
Richard shouted.

" I am sorry . But your job isn't done yet. You have to find Rachel. "
Alan said.

" I want to leave now. I am fucking leaving ! "
Richard yelled and walked his way down by the stairs. There was a couple standing near the door and they came toward Richard. One of them is a male with a big mustache and the other one was a woman with a birth mark on her chin.

" Please sir. Find our daughter . I  beg you "
The woman cried.

" we can't live without her. You are our only hope "
The man said.

Richard took a deep breath and thinked for few seconds.
" Alright Alright. When did you last saw her ? "
Richard asked.

"Four or Five weeks. Near the well "
The woman said.

" I will have to check that area . Take me there "
Richard told them.

The couple escorted Richard near the well. He looked at the well and used his torch to look inside the well. When he looked back the couple was gone.

" Hey ! Where did you go ? "
Richard shouted . But there was no one around.

Fuck you ! Fuck you all ! Do you think this is funny ? I will kill all of you ! "
Richard yelled and started to throw rocks at all directions with anger boiling him up.

While trying to pickup a rock he saw shoe of a girl. He took it and checked it. Richard then finds a piece of paper inside the shoe. He read it and it said ' Look at the well '.as told he looked at the well again and sees a body of a little girl under.

" Rachel ?! Hey kid ! you alright ?"
Richard yelled but the girl didn't move.

The suddenly someone pushed Richard into the well .Richard fell down to the bottom and started to drown. He have swim upwards and got to breathe.

" You motherfucker.  I am gonna kill you after I get up there !"
He yelled .

Then someone looked down at Richard from up of the well. It was Mister Rip wearing his mask. Richard got freaked out and pulled out his gun to shoot but Mister Rip closed the well with a lid trapping Richard inside the well. Darkness consumed the light of hope that Richard had making him fear what will happen next .
