‘beep, beep, beep…’ 

Ash opened their eyes. 

“YOU’RE  AWAKE!” a sound shouted from the side.

Ash turned their head towards the sound.

“Owen…?” Ash mumbled.

“Yes, it’s me.” Owen replied.

“How long have I been here?” Ash asked.

“Not long 2 days only.” Owen replied.

“2 DAYS???” Ash jumped up.

“Careful your head!” said Owen.

Owen laid Ash down onto bed, “Don’t worry, the doctor said after you wake up, we can go already,” said Owen. “I’ll go tell her.”

“There’s no need to tell, I saw everything, Ash is fine and they can check out already.” The doctor’s voice came from behind.

The doctor was smiling brightly at the 2, "You two are a couple?" Said the doctor. 

Owen and Ash looked at eachother, thinking. They're not.

"Doc, you got it all wrong." Said Owen, "We are just friends. Met like almost a month ago." 

"Oh, I'm sorry. I just thought you 2 were a couple cause it's quite normal here." Said the doctor.

"It's fine." Said Owen and Ash.

The doctor stepped out of the room, leaving Owen and Ash with some other patients at the side.

"For the criminals… Do you want me to take you to court to sue them or something? For almost murdering you, if you want a lawyer, I know a girl who can help." Said Owen.

"There's no need, but who is this powerful lawyer you know?" Asked Ash.

"My sister, Yu Chen. She has won many cases, she only helps good, she knows everyone's background and know who's good and whos bad." Said Owen.

"Oh…" Ash mumbled.

"Is there anything wrong?? Do you need help?" Said Owen.

"No, I'm fine. It's alright." Said Ash.

"You sure?" Said Owen.

"Yes." Ash replied.

"Alright, so… Do you want to check out now?" Asked Owen.

"Sure, but what time is it?" Asked Ash.

" It's 10:27 am right now." Said Owen.

"Oh wow, you came early." Said Ash.

"Actually, I slept by your side last night." Said Owen.

Owen tried to smile at Ash. But Ash just laughed, "Were you that worried about me?" Asked Ash. "Can't believe a soldier would even be worried for a stranger." 

"You have been living in my house for almost a month now, and you still think you're a stranger to me?" Owen laughed.

"I wanna go check on Milan and the other guy later." Said Ash.

"Milan and Maurie?" Asked Owen.

"Yep, those 2." Said Ash.

After checking out, Ash still had a bandage on their head, which kinda annoyed Ash a little but Ash might get used to it. Owen opens the car door for Ash, then Owen goes driving in the driver's seat. 

There was absolute silence…

'I can still remember what I said before the night I was kidnapped.' Ash covered their red face with their hands.

Owen saw it, but he wasn't worried. "Why are you blushing? Who are you thinking about?" Owen asked Ash.

Ash looked up at the front mirror, Owen was looking at Ash. Ash couldn't say a word. 

"Ohh, I get it. You're shy!" Said Owen.

Ash put their hands down and rolled their eyes. Owen continued driving for 17 minutes, until he reached a red light. Owen said "I forgot to tell you that, this is gonna take 40 minutes. She lives far away." 

No response.

Owen looked at the rear view mirror, and saw Ash sleeping. Then it hit him. 

It was a memory…

"Wake up, wake up!" A pink-haired kid opened their eyes. 

The pink-haired kid looked at young Owen, around 5 to 6 years old or in between.  

"Hmm? It's Midnight. '' said the annoyed pink-haired kid.

"I want to show you something!" Owen grabbed the kid's hand and ran to a window. The night sky shined into both of their eyes, the big round moon and shining stars with the stars 🌌 above them. 

"Wow! Pretty!" The pink haired kid said. After a while, the pink haired kid fell onto Owen’s shoulder. Owen knew the kid wanted to sleep and carry the 3 year old back to their bedroom. Owen tucked the kid in and watched him sleep.

BEEP BEEP** 

A car honked, it was a green light now, but Owen wasn't moving. Owen stepped on the pedal and the car started moving again. Owen looked at the rear view mirror and thought. 'Skin as smooth as a river, a smile as soft as a cloud. A type of pink hair that looks like a Sakura flower, reminded me of my old friend. Is that kid really you?' Owen kept thinking while driving. 

After a long drive, it came to an end. Owen parked in the parking lot, and came out of the car. He walked towards the back passenger seat where Ash was, and called Ash to wake up. 

“Ash, Ash. We’re here now. Wake up.” -Owen

“5 more minutes…” Ash grabbed Owen's shirt collar.

Owen sighed and smiled, “Haha, Ash still thinks that we’re still at home.” 

Owen picked up Ash, and hanged Ash over his shoulder. Owen closed the car door and locked the car.  

“Hey, You’re not as heavy as I thought,” said Owen.

Owen then carried Ash in a bridal style. 

“This is a big baby. And I hope people can ignore me for this.” Owen sighed.

He carried Ash to the elevator and went up to his condominium. Owen walked while  carrying the big baby, 'Owen, Owen… you really need to wake him up before anyone sees. ' Owen sighed.

Owen went up the elevator and got to his condo. Milan was at the entrance and saw what Owen was doing. 

"Sir…" 

"Don't ask." Owen replied.

He went into his room and put Ash on his bed and walked away, closing the door.

"Is this appropriate?" Asked Milan.

"Not gonna lie, I do not know either. But help me open the door to my room." Owen replied.

"Oh! Uhh-uh Sorry." Milan quickly ran towards the room.

Owen put Ash onto bed and walked out, closing the door. 

"He is a deep sleeper or he just wanted me to carry him up here." Owen complained while lying on the sofa.

"Haha, well luckily. You came here, your family called not long ago and they're coming in 30 mins. "- Milan

"Wait REALLY??" Owen shouted.

"Yes, even grandma is coming," Maurie replied.

"YES!" Owen lied on the couch, "it's like it has been decades since i saw them." 

"Which house are you going to take me them in?" Milan asked.

Owen thought for a while and said "Here I guess, it's smaller than the other one. And Ash is here, I'm too lazy to carry them back." 

"Alright, guess we'll hide Ash for a while." Said Milan.

"Just hope that they won't think the wrong thing" followed by Maurie.

"What?" Owen Confused.

20 minutes later…

Owen’s family arrived, the Yau family.
