Lying on the bed while reading my book, my phone lit up. I recognized that tone, it was Mika. Curious I opened his message and a slight sound left my mouth, feeling the heat come to my face. It was a photo, but not any photo. It was Byron. Shirtless Byron. I bit my lip looking at the photo trying to see all the details. He was training with the members of the pack, in short, gym pants and no shirt covering that gorgeous body. His chest and abdomen glimmered from the drops of sweat that covered him. ‘Damn! My mate is so hot…’ 

Ping! Another message arrived.

I think Byron’s gonna be busy today, so enjoy a little snack in the meantime 😚

I wheezed looking at the video he sent me. Biting my lip, I looked at every detail of that video. In it, there was Byron drinking water and I didn’t know a man could look so sexy drinking water. Was it the drops falling down his chin to his chest and mixing with his sweat? Or the fact that he was still shirtless while his hair was back? Or the fact that at the end of the video he poured the rest of the water inside that bottle on himself? I watched the video more times and then I realized something; my eyebrows turned into a frown.

BYRON

After a tiring day full of training, I wanted to see my beautiful merman. Standing outside of his window, I threw a pebble to the closed part of it, but Julien never looked out. I climbed up the tree to look through his window and looked for him, but I couldn’t see my mate. I hopped inside the room and then I noticed a bulge on the bed.

‘Mate.’

Boris said in the back of my mind. I smiled, quietly approaching the bed, and saw Julien lying there, sleeping. 

‘He looks gorgeous even when he’s sleeping.’

Carefully, I caressed his cheek. A smile forming on his lips, his beautiful and appetizing lips…

‘Kiss him.’

‘I don’t want to wake him up.’

In the blink of an eye, I realized that my face was close enough that I could feel his calm breathing, Julien’s lips were so close to mine. ‘Damn you, Boris!’

‘You are welcome.’

‘I told you not to take over like that.’

While I was fighting with my wolf I felt watched, I looked up from Julien’s lips and I could see my mate looking at me, wide-eyed and blushing. I felt my cheeks burning and tried to get away, but I felt how his soft hands touched my cheeks, bringing me closer until our lips touched. Julien slowly moved his lips over mine, giving me a tender kiss; I didn’t take long to reciprocate. Our soft kiss became a more passionate one and without realizing it I ended up on top of him, my hands on the sides of his head, not putting all my weight on his delicate body and my legs between his. Running out of air, I separated from the kiss, a thread of saliva joining our lips. Julien, seeing this, approached it licking my lower lip, breaking the bond. I was surprised to see him do that.

“I didn’t think you were so naughty,” I said laughing.

He took me by the shoulders and forcefully changed positions, putting himself on top of me and sitting on my crotch, which was starting to get hard from the kiss. I heard Boris howl in the back of my mind.

“There’s a lot of things you don’t know about me.” He said, winking at me.

“Oh really? Then, what’s your favorite color?” I asked curiously.

“The color of my tail, aquamarine.” He smiled. “What’s yours?”

“Black. Favorite food?” 

“Sushi.” 

“Cool. I like steak.” He giggled.

“How old are you?” He asked looking at me with curious eyes. 

“23 and you?” 

“22. Favorite movie?” 

“Star wars. You?” 

“Don’t laugh, okay? The Little Mermaid.” Of course, I laughed at his answer, why did I expect that to be his favorite? Julien pouted.

“That’s cute. Any hobbies?” 

“Reading.” He said and pointed towards the bookshelves in his bedroom. ‘So many books.’

“Oh, what genre?” I looked back at him.

“Romance. What’s your phone number?” He asked and then took his phone from the bed and gave it to me.

‘That was smooth.’ Boris laughed. ‘It really was.’ I typed my number on his phone and handed it back to him.

“You can just send me a message and I’ll add you.” I smiled and he nodded, leaning down and giving me a soft kiss on the lips. 

We kept asking questions and getting to know each other more. After a while, our 20 questions session turned into a cute kiss-and-cuddle one. Time passed and Julien fell asleep on my chest. ‘Adorable.’ I felt how my eyelids fell from exhaustion falling asleep there while hugging my mate.
