(Lucifer’s p.o.v)
It’s been 24 hours since I last spoke to my sister. Lilah hasn’t picked up the phone, nor has she answered any of my messages. Debating whether I should call her again, I decided against it. I have more important things to worry about than a pissed off sister.
Walking down the hall towards Belle’s room, I open the door to see her breathing peacefully, a faint white glow illuminating her skin. The glow didn’t start till after I got off the phone with my sister. I’m still trying to figure out what triggered it. Closing the door slowly behind me I head towards the kitchen.
Ollsor’s there making lunch.
Upon entering the kitchen, he bows, before going back to his task.
I make my way to the fridge and grab me one of those sugar infested drinks the humans call Soda. Popping the drink open, I sit down on the barstool facing the kitchen. Letting the fizz liquid settle within me, I contemplate how I’m going to wake up Belle. The idea of forming a bond was out of the question. Being in her current state she’s it wouldn’t form properly.
I message Debbie telling her to come over to check up on Belle.
She told me it’ll be later, because currently she was busy with something else.
I take another swing of the soda, as I scroll through the newsfeed on my phone.
Ollosor clears his throat and I look up at him.
In his hand is a plate and a bowl. One with tomato soup and the other with grilled cheese sandwiches. He places the food in front of me.
“Thanks, Ollosor.”
“You’re welcome, Young Mas-” He beings.
“Lucifer.” I interrupt. “Just Lucifer.”
He nods before, starting to clean the kitchen.
A few minutes later, I finish my food, cleaning my bowl and plate placing them on the drying rack. Ollosor has left for the moment, telling me he had something to do this evening, but said he’d be back in time to make dinner. I okayed him and now I’m currently sitting in my office, with the TV on.
Monquie Iggo a Celebrity Chef and a glutton demon with yellow eyes, fair skin, and jet-black hair, is on The Seven Sins. A talk show where seven of the most popular demons talk about the latest gossip. Currently Monquie is talking about her latest cookbook coming out, called The Way to a Gluttons Heart.
Rolling my eyes, I turned the TV down.
Everyone knows the way to a Gluttons heart; she didn’t need to write a book about it.
Ignoring the TV, I focused on the paper in front of me. These dealing with international affairs.
The demons that have control over the east parts, are wanting to have a meeting with me.
They even had the decency to send me a letter.
My dear Prince of Hell,
I’m not sure if you heard this or not, but we are in quit the predicament here in the Eastern Hemisphere. The growing number of lower demons in the past twenty years has caused an uneasy feel between our lands and the rumors of an uprising has surfaced. We have yet to figure out where this news has come from, that is why we ask you to meet so we can handle this minor conflict accordingly. We aren’t sure who leads the rebellion, but we are certain they can be easily delt with. We’ve got a few lowers in custody as we speak.
Officials have questioned them, and they speak of the Divine, being released from Heaven. That there are still Divine here on this mortal plane that are hidden among us. They speak of war between Angels and Demons. They speak of the Apocalypse.
Even though the news has yet to reach the west, it’s only a matter of time before it will spread through your part of the hemisphere. We must act now, while it’s still formulating, before the product is revealed. We ask of you to not speak upon this setback for it will be over and the lowers will now their place once more. With you, my prince by our sides we can shed our pupils worries from this so-called threat.
So please help us.
Sincerely,
Hells Lineage
After I read the letter, I leaned back in my chair. If the weight from my father’s sudden departure hadn’t already been heavy enough, then add this to the many things I have to deal with.
Maybe Lilah is right.
Maybe I do need help.
I don’t have time to have a meeting with them, I had Belle to worry about. Being as it might be she could be mixed up in this whole rebellion thing. She is a Divine after all. Who’s to say killing Gornath wasn’t some part of her plan to help the rebellion.
So many possibilities, and yet not conclusions.
No, answers.
I really needed help.
Looking at my phone I debated wither I should call Lilah or not.
I reach for my phone, but before I do, I hear a loud crash.
Looking at the time I see its only 2:30, Ollosor wasn’t back till 4.
Getting out of my chair I race to make sure my protected was safe.
