(Yes, why aren't you talking?)

“Fine, he is Ash-” I was blocked by a sudden slam.

Me and my whole family looked at the direction of where the sound came from, the door.

“Ehhhh, sorryyyyy. I didnt mean to hit it that hard. Uhh, HI!” -Aunt Minah

Aunt Minah is my mom’s younger sister, she adopted a girl and she is called Amani. Amani married a woman and had like 5 or 6 children? Couldn’t remember. 

Aunt Minah sat down and couldn’t resist asking “Soooo, can i meet her yet??” .

I chuckled. “It’s not a ‘she’ it’s a he.” 

“WHAT?!” everyone shouted at once.

I heard a door knob twist but I assumed it was Kenneth finally getting out of the toilet. I was wrong.

“Who’s that?” Aunt asked.

I looked behind to see Ash walking out. 

“Fuck” i whispered.

Ash turned his head to see me and my family.

“Uhh, Hello.” Ash spoke in a shivering way “ I think i should go back in now.”

“Wait.” 

Ash turned his head towards me and I grabbed him, “ How about you meet my family, they're nice.” I smiled. “I'm here if you need me”

Ash was hesitant but he agreed anyway.

Aunt Minah had her mouth wide open with her hands covering it. While I walk Ash slowly towards my family.

“Well, can I introduce myself again? My name is Ash. I’m 24 this year and I'm a friend of Owen.” 

“Friend?” Kenneth asked from the back.

“Come here lah, so slow.” I shouted at him.

I sat Ash down and let everyone understand everything while I'm telling everyone what happened.

“So are you two dating?” Aunt asked.

 “NO!” me and Ash shouted.

“ No 就 no lah, 干嘛要喊！” - dad

 (no is no lah, why have to shout!)

“你也可以讲华文？” -Ash

（you can also speak chinese?)

”我们全都可以说” - Mum

(we all can speak)

“Owen too?” -Ash

“Yes” - All

Ash stared at me.

“我可以说。” -Owen

（i can speak)

"What the fuck, I thought I was the only that could speak. My English is bad, you know." -Ash

"My dad too, he rarely speaks English. It's either to Ma or when he's angry." I replied.

And suddenly I could hear small laughter from everyone except dad because they know it's true.

I tapped Ash's shoulder, "You want anything to eat?" I whispered.

"Got coke?" He asked.

"Hmm. Let me check." I went to the fridge to find some coke and there were some, so I took them and gave it to everyone.

"So, where are you going to stay? It has been 3 hours already, you came at 6 too, your house is also like 2 hours away. " I asked.

"Your house lah, what do you think?" Yu Chen replied.

"But this small place cannot fit all of us lah." Kenneth complained.

"Why don't you take them back to your other house?" Ash turned his head.

"What other house?" Grandma asked.

"Wait, let me check if I got room or not first. " I replied while I took out my phone and started checking my house for extra rooms. " I think I have, I have 2 more rooms left."

"Let's bring them back there, then." Said Ash.

"Why you never tell us?" Mom asked.

"I wouldn't think you would be happy with me about it so I never told you guys," I replied. 

"Milan!" I shouted, the small door opened where all the guards were in. My family was surprised by it.

"You're incharge for the night." I smiled and threw the keys.

Milan happily shouted 'Yes!' quietly , catched the keys and went back in.

"Umm…Can you explain what just happened there?" Aunt Minah looked at Ash.

"Not really, only he knows." Ash replied.

I led my family out of the condominium and got me and their car ready.

"Who wants a ride? Just for once." I said.

Grandma, Yu Chen and Yi Ron hopped onto the back of my car and I started driving while dad and Aunt Minah were following me from the back. 

At about 10 to 15 mins I reached my house. The mansion or the place I never spend much time in.

There was Lucas again standing at the door waiting, he got quite surprised when I brought my whole family here.

"Welcome home, sir," Lucas said.

I was annoyed.

 

We went in and the maidens were all preparing to go to bed, "just go to sleep, I'll handle it." 

I led them up the stairs and into the bedrooms, like before I told them to lock the door.

No questions why.

Lock it.

The night went smoothly, it was just until morning came. 

My family were in questions and was looking around all over the house finding things.

"Alright, I'll answer your questions if you quiet down please." I shouted.

They all went to the sofa , while I was sitting in another one and Ash was finding something to eat.

"Alright, oldest to youngest." I spoke.

"Why do you have a second house?" My grandma asked. 

"This house was a gift." I replied.

“为什么，你躲着这个秘密？” -dad

(Why did you hide this secret?)

"Because I don't think you would be proud if I said why." I replied

"Tell us where you got the house from, how you got the house and why you." My mom asked.

I took a deep breath.

"Remember when we were younger we had a soldier next door and you would say hi and run back into the house, I never ran away, I was really impressed by him. When you guys ran away, I stayed. He didn't have a wife nor children, so he thought of me as one. And one day, I came here, he said one day when he leaves the world, everything would be mine. It's been 5 years since that day." - Owen

"Tragic" Ash looked at me.

"Yea, something like that." I replied.

"Then, where did you go at 16?" Kenneth asked.

" I went to the military, still in it till this day, I am captain." I replied.

"When will you get married?" Aunt Minah asked.

" Why me? I'm 22. Ash Yi Ron he's 28, or Yu Chen??" I complained.

"Kenneth has a girlfriend already, why not you?" Yu Chen said.

"That's why he broke." I replied.

Everyone laughed.

Ash got their breakfast and sat next to me, “could you pass me the remote, please?” Ash asked. I passed them the remote and they turned on the TV. 

It was a news channel. I look up. 

‘Breaking News, the killing spree has officially stopped for a month. The last victim of the killing spree was Gena —---, she was a kidnapper and murderer for 16 children for the past 2 years. The other victims of the killing spree were (------),(-----),(--------) and 5 more in the past 2 months. The killing spree was stopped because the killer was caught. This killer is a young kid, he is 19 years old and his name is called ‘Michael Gol—” 

Ash spatted out his breakfast. 

“Ash?? ARE YOU OKAY???” Owen shouted. 

“Ye, yea… Just happy that the killer was caught after years.” Ash said.

“杀手？” -Dad

(Killer)

"杀手在这里逍遥法外了几年，终于被抓了." - Owen

(There was a killer on the loose a few years ago, he is finally caught now.) 

"So you're telling us that there is a killer on loose before you let us come here? I'm going home." -mom

"Noo, you guys wanted to come because of him." Owen points at Lucas. "Also Ash, do you need that lawyer for the people who hurt you?" 

"Nah, I don't think so. Not yet, when I need it, I will tell you." Ash replied.

"Alright then- Hey, there's some food on the side of your mouth, I'll help you wipe it out." -Owen

Owen took a tissue and started helping Ash wipe his mouth, "Thanks" Ash replied and went back to the kitchen to put back his bowl.

"Are you going to explain that one?" - Yi Ron

"Explain what?" Owen asked.

"Yeah, explain what?" -Ash 

"He just fucking helped you wipe your mouth, what the fuck," Kenneth complained. "That's what couples do!"

"Aiya, it's just a small thing. Why do you need to complain about the smallest things? " Said Owen.

"What do you mean by small things? It's a big thing! Are you two sure that you both aren't dating?" Yi Ron asked.

"Yes, we aren't. We just met almost a month ago, even if I want to date him, I don't even dare." Said Ash annoyed from the kitchen.
