"I have a question, Akiya" started Saito, when he saw Kawakami in the Shelter again. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm bored" replied Akiya. "I thought that maybe you need my help."

"Not now, but thanks" replied Mitsuru.

At that moment they heard an alarm. Saito jumped on his feet and ran to the Command Centre. Akiya and Mitsuru followed him.

The Command Centre was in the council room. Saito and Mitsuru commanded the missions and received the signals from the transmitters from here. They often sat in their room, but it was a mistake to think that they didn't come out of it.

Saito sat down in a chair in front of five touch screens and put on headphones with a microphone attached to his ears.

"Alarm is located in the >>Sakura<< district" he announced. "I have no idea, why there. I'm going to find a source."

But then the alarm stopped.

"You can't just stop an alarm, what's going on?" asked Mitsuru.

"I don't know" replied Saito and swiped some data with his finger. "Oh no."

"I see now" said Mitsuru. "The signal from Kousuke's transmitter has disappeared."

"I know" Saito nodded. "Something is wrong."

In that moment the door opened and Shino walked in.

"What do you mean that Kousuke's signal is missing?" he asked, walking quickly to his leaders.

"I don't know" replied Saito.

At this moment they heard a phone ring. Mitsuru picked up the phone.

"It's Kousuke" he announced. "Hello, Kousuke, what's going on? Kousuke? Why..."

Mitsuru didn't finish his sentence, because he heard weird loud sound and then stopped hearing anything.

"Someone... Someone probably broke his phone."

"We even don't know, where he is" Saito put his head on his hand.

"Akiya!" called him Mitsuru suddenly. "Look for him. He's in >>Sakura<<. Tell us, if you find him."

"Of course" nodded Akiya and wanted to go, but Shino stopped him.

"Take me with you" he said with seriousness.

And then Akiya noticed something he hadn't noticed for so long, because Hirano hated all vampires and no one could even be close to him.

Shino didn't have green aura like other conquerors. His aura was white.

Shino was human? Just a normal, average human? So how he could recognise vampires? How he could defeat them?

And the most important question - did Saito and Mitsuru know? If they know, why they let him do that? And if they don't know, Akiya shouldn't probably tell them. He didn't want to put Shino in the trouble.

"Okay, we should go" said Akiya and grabbed his hand.

The conqueror wasn't pleased because of this, but it was his idea after all.

They ran to >>Sakura<< and then Akiya pulled out a cellphone from his pocket and called someone.

"Come to >>Sakura<< district" he said.

Takama knew, where it is. He came there in a minute.

"What's going on?" asked Takama.

He had dyed, colourful hair as always.

"Do you know, where is Ueta Kousuke?" asked Akiya, giving him cash.

Takama smiled greedIly.

"I'll tell you everything I know" he announced. "Taniguchi Hideki was looking for him. The last time I saw him WAS In Toyotomi High School. He was just observing something. Maybe even your friend."

"Thanks" said Akiya and pulled Hirano with him.

If someone thought that Shino can't be more serious and frightened, he wasn't right at all.

They reached the square, where Takama told them Kousuke should be. And he was there. Laying in the puddle of his own blood.

"Kousuke!" Shino walked to him.

He knelt beside his friend and brushed Kousuke's hair from his face. He tried to be calm, but after a while he started crying anyway.

Akiya walked to them. This situation was too similar to Masashi's death. And he had only one option again.

But there was Hirano Shino. With his white aura.

"Kawakami, do something" whispered Shino.

"What?"

"Turn him" replied Shino.

Akiya looked at him with shock.

"What?"

"He asked you to do it, right?" reminded him Shino. "So why you didn't agree?"

"I was afraid that you're going to hurt me if I do it" replied Akiya.

Shino was a little surprised.

"Do you respect my opinion?"

"No. I respect a stake in your pocket" replied Akiya.

"And what are you waiting for?" asked Shino.

"You still didn't move" replied Akiya.

Shino got up and stepped back a little.

Akiya knelt beside Kousuke. He grabbed his hand softly and bit his skin, then he drank some blood. He cut his own hand with his pocket knife and he put a few drops into Ueta's mouth. After a while, Kousuke's wounds disappeared and he lit up with a blue aura and abruptly woke up.

"What's going on?" asked Kousuke.

Shino immediately walked to him and hugged him. Kousuke was confused and didn't understand his reaction.

"Akiya, why can I see your auras?" he asked after a while.

"Because you died and I turned you into a vampire" explained Akiya.

Kousuke smiled slightly.

"Thanks" he said and pushed Shino away.

"Shino, I want to know something" started Akiya. "First, why you agreed for that?"

"I... couldn't lose him" replied Shino. "He's the only person that I still care about."

"I probably understand" replied Akiya. "Second, why do you have white aura?"

"Because he doesn't have conqueror's gene" replied Kousuke. "He wasn't born as one. He became one."

"He became" repeated Akiya.

So you can... become a conqueror?
