Near the sea, Siron City.
2 individuals walked together carrying big baskets with herbs filled inside them. They struggled to walk because of the sand weighing them down.
A black-haired teen wore worn-down slippers, simple pants, and a shirt, which hid her beauty. She struggled to walk any further and stopped catching her breath.
“Irene, the reason we came to the sea was for you to catch a breath.”, exclaimed her father, Ellan, a rough-looking man. Looking at his exhausted daughter, he sighed.
“Papa, I came because I wanted to help you plus, I wanted to spend some time with you,” said Irene frustrated.
“I know you came for sightseeing, stop lying,” said Ellan shaking his head.
Seeing her Papa’s reaction, Irene pouted. “Well let’s sit down for a while then leave this area. We can’t stay for long because I have to hand these herbs to the branch as soon as possible”, said Ellan sitting down with his daughter.
Ellen sighed, looking at the wavering water and how the small waves touched the stones. The melancholy was also felt by his daughter.
“This is your first time coming here right?” questioned Ellan looking towards his daughter.
Irene nodded.
“Then go enjoy yourself but don’t go in too deep,” said Ellan smiling and patting his daughter’s head.
Irene smiled brightly and got up excited to hit the water.
“Leave the basket before going!” said Ellan.
Irene heard her father and quickly returned the basket. She chuckled and ran towards the water. Entering the cold water, she splashed water on herself and giggled, feeling the water on her skin.
Ellen smiled, looking at Irene playing and giggling to herself. ‘Sadly, you can’t see this…we all miss you’, he thought sorrowfully.
After a few minutes.
“Let’s go home now!” exclaimed Ellan and gestured for Irene to come out of the water.
Irene came out of the water with damp clothes and wore the basket on her shoulder.
“I’m going to go ahead. Don’t worry I’ll walk slowly”, said Ellan as he started walking towards their destination. He looked at the sun-setting and sighed. ‘It’s getting pretty late; we have to hurry back,’ he thought.
Ready to follow her father, Irene stepped ahead, and for some reason, her feet didn’t land on the sand but landed on a slippery substance. She struggled to keep her balance because of the weight on her back. Her weight shifted, and she fell on the sand.
Irene was unlucky as the waves had washed up a metal shard towards the shore where she was standing. When she fell, she landed chest-first on the metal shard.
Schlock!
Not hearing a peep from his daughter, Ellan looked back, and his heart trembled at the sight.
A bloody scene where the herbs had fallen out from the basket and on Irene’s head. Her simple shirt was dyed ruby red. Blood had splattered on her pants. Her eyes wide open, not realizing what was happening to her, she struggled on the ground until the sharp pain in her chest hit her.
“AHHH!!” she screamed.
Ellan’s legs trembled, not having the power to see such a sight, but he ran toward his daughter.
“Papa, It hurts. AAHHHHH!” screamed Irene seeing her father. She was going through agony; her face was a sobbing mess.
“AHHHHH!!” as the screams resounded in Ellan’s ears. His mind went blank. ‘I-I can’t lose her. Not her…’.
Regaining a little composure, he held Irene’s hands. “Just wait…your father will save you”. His heart was torn as he saw the metal shard in her chest.
‘What can I do…even master can’t save her’, he thought in utter despair. ‘I at least have to try….’ memories of losing his wife came into his mind and how she died with no one by her side after giving birth to Irene.
‘Not again…Not again’ he grabbed Irene and carried her running in the heavy sand, trying to reach something.
‘If I go the alchemist’s, maybe they can treat her. Even if I have to sell the house, I will save her, thought Ellan looking at his daughter, who was on the verge of fainting from the pain.
‘Please anyone…. anyone’, thought Ellan as he ran in the forest trying to find civilization.
He didn’t know if it was the god’s blessing or what, but his intuition told him to turn right, where the path started clearing. There was a wide street leading somewhere unknown.
Ellen mindlessly ran on the street and stopped, looking at the large building with ‘Miracle Clinic’ written on it.
A few Minutes Ago, Outside the Miracle Clinic.
Han, who dragged Blade with him, arrived at the clinic.
Leaving Blade, Han looked around, searching for something.
“Are you searching for something Master? Maybe I can help”, said Blade.
“No, just go back to work,” Han said, gesturing for him to leave.
Blade nodded and bowed before leaving Han on his own.
“You said there would be a patient waiting for me, you scamming AI,” said Han exhausted. He had run back without a single break.
[Host, a Patient Is on his way]
“How come you know he’s coming? Did you bring the patient here?” said Han finding it suspicious.
[…….I can detect the potential patients near the clinic because of the array]
“Oh…so I have my patient finder. That’s cool”, exclaimed Han.
[I will only use it in emergencies]
“You sound pretty adamant, but we can discuss this lat….” Han’s conversation with Sophie was interrupted by seeing a man continuously holding someone, leaving a blood trail on the ground.
