I grab the 15+ boxes off of the cart and start to unpack. Kai and Nat help me. "Peanut butter?" Nat exclaims after
about 15 minutes. Looks like Mom did pack me a whole box of food. "Yeah, my mom was stressed for me and packed a bunch of food." I say "M&Ms?" I hear Kai screech, then scilence, then, "Chips?! Skittles?! Candy?!" "Wait, your mom packed you party food?" asked Nat. "Who even knows what the woman packed me." I say, and start to laugh. 3 long hours later all of my stuff is unpacked. Thank God our dorm is massive and has it's own kitchen to fit all of the food Mom packed me. I make a mental note to text her to thank her later. "Hey, can you guys move to the sides of the room for a sec? I want to get a picture for my Mom." I say "Of course!" they both say.
Jess: Hey Mom
Mom: Jessie! I was SO worried!
Jess: I'm fine, Mom. I wanted to say thanks
for the food you sent. Also here is a pic
of the dorm room.
Mom: Oooh, it's so cute! Is your rommie nice?
Jess: Yup! I have a feeling we're gonna be
great friends!
Mom: I'm so happy for you!
Jess: Mom? Can I tell you something?
Mom: Sure hon, anything.
Jess: I'm gay. I don't like boys. I like girls.
Mom: I always guessed
Jess: You did?! Hang on, I got to go. Bye <3
Mom: Bye sweetie
"Is everything okay?" Nat asks me. "Yup! I just came out to her and she said that she always suspected!" I say, grinning. "That's great!" Nat says. "I have to go. I'm supposed to meet someone else at the doors in about 10 minutes." Kai says. "Okay, have fun!" Nat and I say together. "Wanna go out for ice cream?" Nat asks, and my heart starts to flutter.
