Outside, at Haven Academy's quad, the Egg Commander reports to Adam Taurus. "Sir!" said the Egg Commander. "I have the visual... The grandchildren of Queen Kamiya have come to Mistral! and with it the 4500 Faunus." The Egg Commander and Commandos watched as Hazel gets knocked through the wall and into the ground. "Stay focused!" said Adam Tarus. "Our friends are almost done here." "Uhhh sir...?" said the Egg Trooper. The Egg Trooper pointed his finger at Blake Belladonna standing proudly on top of the roof of a nearby building along with Paul Gekko, the Atlantic Siblings and the Taekkyeon Brothers. "Blake?" Adam said in shock, starting to laughing evilly. "To think that I went through so much trouble to find you, only to have you deliver yourselves to me."
"This isn't what's right for the Faunus!" said Adam Atlantis. "If you stop what you're planning," said Paul Gekko. "we can end this." "So your Paul Gekko." Adam smirked. "But you can't stop us." "No!" said Jegal Bugok. "Not us humans... But there are more of us!" Adam and his followers turn to the left in surprise, seeing Sun Wukong standing in front of a massive legion of Faunus all armed with blunt weaponry, their shields bearing the old White Fang symbol. They then turn to the right, and see Akira Belladonna leading another massive legion of Faunus. One of the White Fang Soldiers lowers his weapon, recognizing one of the Faunus in the crowd. Then, a Mistral airship shines its searchlight down on Adam and his group. The Mistral police captain is with Kali and Ghira Belladonna.
"Adam Taurus... put the bombs away." Seung Beon said calmly. "Then it's over for all of us." said Adam Taurus holding the detonator. Adam's followers hold up their arms as they brace for the impending explosion. Adam presses the button, but nothing happens. "Egg Troopers! What were you thinking!" said the White Fang Soldier "Trying to get us all killed?!" "We sent someone over to confirm your explosives," said Blake. "and once we did, she disarmed them." Ilia Amitola walks out from around the tower, dropping her black camouflage as she holds the wires in her hand that disabled the bombs. Thus the battle between both Faunus groups begin. The White Fang soldiers draw their weapons and attempt to fire at the Mistral airships. Jegal Bugok turns into Speed Star to chase three White Fang soldiers, while Ilia fights two more with Lightning Lash. Sun knocks another down before shooting at a second, nearby a horned Faunus strikes her opponent and drives them back. Hazel observes the situation in front of him but is then suddenly impaled by a white, glowing stinger. He is then pulled back inside the building and sits up to see that Weiss is back on her feet with a summoned Queen Lancer flying above her.
Back down in the vault, Dr. Award and Cinder were are on their knees, panting in exhaustion. "Had enough yet?" said Raven. "Don't count your feathers yet!" said Dr. Award. "If you were stronger or more clever on ground," said Raven. "then maybe... you'd remember to watch your back!" Cinder glares at her, wondering what the Spring Maiden is talking about, but then gasps as she looks behind her. She notices the dying Vernal aiming one of her weapons at Dr. Award and fires at the shoulder. Dr. Award was in pain, but Raven quickly dashes up behind her and lands a devastating lightning attack on her face, shattering her mask and revealing the heavily scarred left side. The sheer force of the attack sends Cinder over the edge of the vault's walkway and above the abyss. Raven uses her powers to freeze the Fall Maiden and Dr. Award into an ice statue. Cinder's frozen body falls down into the dark depths of the abyss while Dr. Award froze while standing.
Raven sadly looks over to the now-deceased Vernal, whose eyes remain open on her lifeless body. Raven walks over to Vernal's corpse and gently closes her eyes. Raven then proceeds to the Relic chamber's doorway. She activates her Maiden powers again and begins the process to unlock the chamber. Eventually, the door opens up, and on the other side, a massive desert is shown with a path leading to the Relic of Knowledge, which rests on a stone pedestal. Just as she's about to enter the chamber, Raven hears the sound of Ember Celica and turns around to glare at her daughter landing behind her.
Back at Haven Academy's Quad, the White Fang forces are surrounded and outnumbered by the combined forces of the Menagerie Faunus army and the Atlantic Pirates. They are forced to surrender. The Belladonna siblings and Sun Wukong confront Adam Taurus, who briefly engages them before escaping. Blake goes to help her friends while Sun helps round up the last of Adam's White Fang. Back inside, Weiss Schnee's Lancer summon fights Hazel Rainart, who manages to destroy it. Blake then jumps in and joins Weiss and Ruby Rose as they fight off Hazel, Mercury Black and Emerald Sustrai.
When Paul Gekko and his group reunites with Rave and the others, they saw Yang return above ground, carrying the Relic. Emerald, devastated that Cinder Fall did not return, uses her Semblance to unleash a powerful hallucination, which creates an apparition of Satan Ōtsutsuki that frightens Paul Gekko and his friends. Mercury and Hazel retreat, the latter carrying Emerald, who was rendered unconscious after overtaxing her Semblance.
Yang gives the Relic to Qrow Branwen, but she withholds her conversation with Raven, simply saying that she was gone. Team RWBY all have a proper reunion after being separated for so long, and the four girls share an embrace with each other. Qrow approaches an exhausted Oscar Pine, who tells him that he has a message from Ozpin - that they must bring the Relic to Atlas while Paul Gekko's group heads to the Land of Haro.
