Time had passed as the five of them celebrated Agate's birthday, but night had finally shown its face and an alarm on Agate's phone had gone off. He quickly grabbed it and quickly turned it off and just as fast he stood up, startling everyone. He turned to Carnelian and Jade and shook them.

    "It's time! It's time! We gotta run to my house! It's time!" He screamed at the top of his lungs.

    Jade looked at him, an eyebrow raised, "the fuck are you talking about- ohhhhhh!!" She quickly stood up, and forcefully pushed her way through Jack who was still sitting there. Shocked and clearly offended, Stone just looked at them freaking out, a cigarette in his mouth. Jade went over to Carnelian and pulled him out of the booth. He's on the ground confused and kinda scared, "CarCar let's go! Let's go! We gotta get ready for the band! The Band! It's almost time!"

His face quickly lit up and he scrambled up to his feet, "Holy shit yeah! Why are we just standing here!?"

"Maybe because yall are having a movie sitcom moment of realization. Stop lollygagging and run your asses to the house. Idiots." Stone interjected in a snarky tone.

"He is right, for once. Move your asses along. We'll be there when it starts."

Agate, with a huge smile on his face, nodded and grabbed his friend's hands, and rushed out the dinner. Carneilin falling behind, his stamina is that of a small child, a small lazy child.

Stone and Jack watch them run past the window and into the distance.  Stone stood up and stretched, fighting a huge yawn. He then went and cracked his back then let out a big sigh. "Wo boy those kids are going to be the end of me! I'm too old to keep up with their intense energy. Right Jacky."

Jack chuckled and stood up, "Yeah, god- I remember when they were just little little babies."

"Pfff- you talk like a jaded old father."

"I mean I might as well be! I've been in those kids' lives since they were basically born."

Stone leaned on jack's shoulder and sighed, "I wish I knew them like that. I came in way too late man. I love those little kids like they're my own too." He sighed, blowing smoke into Jack's face. He looked down at Stone and gently shoved him, slowly getting started on cleaning up the mess of the small but rowdy party.

"I told you to stop blowing that into my face Stone."

"Ah- I'm sorry Jack. I totally forgot." He walked up to Jack and watched him clean, "But like, don't you smoke too? Like I totally remember you smoking when you're drunk of your damn rockers."

He turned to him and took the cigarette out his mouth and put it into his, Stone's face quickly going red. The corner of his lips slightly curving upwards, "O-oh, fuck, I forgot just how-"

"How what, Stone." He just stared at him, smoking.

"Just how hot and wild you can be."

He takes out the cigarette and blows smoke into Stone's face, "Of course I am dumbass. I just don't act a fool like you do when Im working. Cause I have a J.O.B to do." His eyes stare right into Stone's, smoke gently drifting from the end of the cigarette, filling the dinner with its intoxicating smell that always gets Stone going. He quickly held onto Jack's hands, and a wily smile quickly made its way onto his face, showing his snaggle tooth canine that slightly sticks out to the side. His eyes flush with passion.

In a soft yet deepish voice, he whined, "Can we quickly run to the back? Please. Just really quickly?"

Jack was fighting a smile before shaking his head and flicking Stone's forehead. "What are you? A horndog? This is a restaurant, you trying to get us shut down?"

"No-"

"So hold your horses and wait till we get home. Actually, not even until we get home man, we still gotta go to their performance."

Stone just looked at him for a second before sighing and fixing his hair, "Damn man you doin' me dirty."

"Don't even. Let's clean up okay then we can talk okay?" He announced and kept cleaning. Stone huffed, nodded, and started to clean as well. It was going well until he spotted a gift behind the counter. He gasped and Jack quickly turned to him, startled. "What!? What happened!"

He picked up the gift and shook it, "I forgot to give this to them!"

"Are you dumb!?"

"Yes!"

"We'll give it to them before they perform!"

"Okay!"

"Why are we yelling Stone!"

"I don't know!"

Agate rushes into his house and his friends follow suit. They all quickly run up into Agate's room and quickly shut the door. The two of them stand by the door while Agate runs to the closet in his room and brings their uniforms for their band. They're T-shirts with ripped sleeves and the band name "Jewel Watchers" haphazardly added on them. Jeans that clearly were ripped by hand and sequence haphazardly put on with hot glue, and large combat boots. The four of them, when Lexion was still here, worked on the uniforms together. He tossed the outfits to each of them. "Now it's time for operation, each corner of the room!"

They all nodded and each took a corner to get changed in their respective corners. Agate speaks up while facing the wall. "I can't wait! This is going to be our best concert yet!"

Jade chimes in, "of course it is! We have our master music maker and writer, our angry drummer, and me! The best vocalist in the entire world!"

Carnelian chuckled at that statement. "Jade sweetie, I'd say you're better at the guitar then you are at vocals."

Jade finished getting dressed and turned to Car. "Mister man whom I love and all that. Keep that up and see what happens, I'll make it so that you'll be able to be the next vocalist."

He turned to her, eyebrow raised, "What does that entail?"

"Beating you till you scream so loud your voice is that of a baby girl."

"I-"

"Yeah, don't even try mister. I got 20 CC's of firepower in these fists of mine. Lefty Larry and Righty Ronny." She voiced in a cartoony voice as she lightly hopped from side to side, fists in a fighter's position.

"Pfff- I thought they were named Lex and Rob last time." He rebuttals once finished getting dressed. He turned to her with a snarky look.

She quickly went over there and slapped him on the shoulder.

"Ah! That's my drumming arm-"

"Both of them are. Now guys stop that!" Agate yelled as he started to grab the music sheets for the concert that were scattered all over his desk.

Carnelian looked at it and shuttered. "You should totally clean that eventually."

"Naw, if I clean it then I'll lose it. It's just messy organized."

"Mmmm if you say so."

As they spoke someone knocked on the door and a voice came through, "Curiosity knock!" They soon opened the door and it was Ruby. All dressed up and ready for the concert. "Oh look at yall three. Oh, you're so adorable I could just eat you all up! And I will when cannibalism is legal."

"Har har mom."

She pointed at him and wagged her finger. "Don't try me." She chuckled and walked into the room. She then gave a big hug and a kiss to each of them on the forehead, "Oh my god my little rockstars! I'm so proud of you. Mamma Rockafeller is so so happy for you three. Ugh, I can't even right now."

Jade nodded with a goofy smile on her face, "Awww thank you. You're going to have your socks blown off Miss Rockafeller! Cause this time Agate-" Her mouth was quickly covered by Agate's hand. A big stressed smile on his face.

"Oh haha, silly silly fucking Jade! Oh, she has no idea of what she's talking about right!" He gives her a shut-the-hell-up glance. She squints at him and quickly gets it, licking his hand to get him off. "Ew!"

"Oh yes yes yes how silly of me Agate. I don't have any idea of what I'm speaking about. Ha. Ha. Ha."

Ruby and Carnelian both gave them blank stares before Ruby spoke up. "Okay, you little goblins let's just get yall into the car and off to where you're going to be playing! Mom and Dad spent all day setting up for you Pepple!"

He smiled and nodded. "You got Carnelins drum set?"

She acted like she was clutching some pearls, "Oh how could I not! I'm not senile yet."

"Did you get Jade's microphone and all her voice stuff?"

"Of course I did."

"Mmmm...did you get my hugs?" He spoke in a silly tone.

She smiled and quickly gave him a big hug and whispered into his ear, "I'm very proud of you Agate. More than you could ever imagine...you're gonna go far, my sweet boy. I swear."  She stopped hugging him and smiled. Agate was grinning ear to ear.

"Now you three funnel into my car. I have snacks and yummies all ready for you."

They all nod and run down and out to the car, Agate carrying his music sheets with him for the three of them. They all get into the back seat and Onyx turns around and smiled. He reaches back and rubs Agate's face.

"Hey, bud. How you feeling? You excited?"

"Damn fucking right I am! Gonna' be our biggest concert yet!" He lifted up his music sheets, "I've been working, altering, and fixing them up till they were just perfect for this moment, for this concert!"

Onyx smiled and nodded. "You're gonna do great, bud. I know it."

The four of them chat and joke around for a bit then Ruby gets in the driver's seat with snacks in hand.

"Okay. So I'm here now and I got the snacks you requested."

Agate looked confused. "Huh I did-"

Jade beamed, "Thank you! I knew asking you would be perfect."

Agate gave her a look as Ruby spoke. "Okay so- here's you're pbj without the b." She hands Carnelian a jelly sandwich. "And here's your... chunk of cheddar Jack cheese-" She hands Jade a literal square of cheese that's slightly smaller than the palm of her hand. Jade took it and ate it like there was no tomorrow. Everyone in the car looked on in horror.

Ruby turned forward, hands gripping the steering wheel, "Alrighty- ignoring that back there. It's time to get this party started!" Ruby then put on some music and drove to the venue. Agate looks out the window, the trees fly by as they speed down the road. The leaves glisten and shine in the increasing moonlight and it rises up into the sky, the slight sparkling stars glimmer into sight the more the night grows. He closes his eyes to relax just a bit before his big night. The biggest night in his entire life. His biggest performance, his best birthday, and the day his best friends leave. The only thing he could do right now is to rest his eyes.
