Time passed and Alma and I grew closer. The semester had ended and winter was upon us. Alma had a hard time adjusting to the cold. I wasn't really a fan of the cold either, but I wanted to show her some of the fun that could be had. I told her to wear as many layers as she could so we could go snow tubing. She loved it! Her eyes lit up when she saw how much snow there was. That reaction alone made the trip worth it. We tubed for hours only stopping once we realized just how dark it had gotten. The weather had been unpredictable lately and I worried there may be a storm. Deciding we couldn't beat the storm, we checked into a nearby hotel. I guess I wasn't the only one who had that idea because the hotel was packed. There was only one room available so we decided to purchase it. Our clothes were soaking wet and cold from the snow tubing earlier. We changed out of them and into some pajamas we got at the hotel gift shop. I just couldn’t shake off this chill. My teeth were chattering nonstop . Afraid for my health, Alma grabbed me and wrapped me in the blankets with her. I was worried that she may think badly of me, but she ended up nuzzling my chest. She looked at me with her beautiful green eyes and said "Sole, I love you."

"Te amo, Alma. Dame un beso." I replied and gave her a kiss. I had completely forgotten about the cold and felt a warmth flood through me.
