The omega bodyguard

The contract

The contract

Mar 17, 2023

Nash was taken aback.

"Pass what?" he asked, still in shock from the recent events that had transpired.

The blonde man got up from the ground, dusting off his clothes.

"The test," he replied simply.

"What test?"

Nash repeated as his mind was reeling as he tried to process what had just happened. He felt like he was missing something crucial, and the blonde man's words were only adding to his confusion

"The test to see if you are worthy of being my bodyguard"

The blonde man replied, his voice cold and distant.

Nash's jaw dropped, and he stared at the man in disbelief.

"You mean that whole fight was a test?" he asked, with a stupid face still trying to wrap his head around the idea.
But he was ignored.

The man turned to face some of the spectators, gesturing towards Nash and the other four bodyguards who had sprung into action.
"I want him and them. The rest are dismissed," he said in a commanding voice.

"Yes, young master," the other men replied in unison, quickly expelling the ones who had failed the test.

"Come," the blonde man ordered, and Nash followed together with the other four candidates. They were led through an elevator that took them directly to the top floor of the building, where three interviewers were waiting for them. The oldest of them bowed to the blonde man.

"Young master," he said with deference.

"Did you prepare the contract, Reginald?" the blonde man asked.

"Yes, young master," Reginald replied, his tone respectful.

"Well," the blonde man said, making his way toward the table where the documents were laid out. His icy blue eyes scanned the documents, and Nash could swear he saw a hint of approval in them. The omega man put the documents on the table and turned his attention to them.

Nash couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of this man. He was a stunning figure with long, blond hair that cascaded down his back, contrasting beautifully with his piercing icy-blue eyes that seemed able to penetrate a person's soul. His features were sharp and angular, giving him a cold and detached air.

"Now that the test is over, and you have proven yourselves capable, it's time to discuss the details of your employment," the blonde man continued. "But first, I think it's time to introduce myself. My name is Andrius Yaskov, and I'm the one you'll be protecting."

Max gasped. Nash also widened his eyes. He knew that name. He doubted there was anyone in the country who hadn't heard that name at least once.

Andrius Yaskov. The young master of the Yaskov group. One of the biggest business empires on Earth.

Andrius scanned their faces coldly.

"Well, it seems like all of you have heard of me. So, I won't delay the time anymore," he said, his voice cutting through the silence in the room.

Andrius handed each of the bodyguards a thick packet of papers.

"This is the contract you'll need to sign to officially become part of my security team. It outlines your responsibilities, your pay, and the terms of your employment. Take some time to read it carefully before signing it."

As he read this unbelievably favorable contract, Nash felt confused. He felt the selection process was unbelievably simple, although the surprise test was unexpected. Now when you take into account who was the employer, it was understandable. But even so, he thought the selection process was... too straightforward.

Shouldn't there be an exhaustive battery of tests evaluating their character and competencies? After all, they were dealing with the heir to the Yaskov Empire.

As if noticing his confusion, Andrius looked up at Nash, his gaze cold and unyielding. "Do any of you have any questions?"

Nash hesitated before replying, "It just seems a bit too good to be true. Was the test not too simplistic?"

After saying this, he felt Max poking him with his elbow but he ignored it.

Andrius raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean, too simple? You passed, didn't you?"

Nash nodded, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

"Yes, but I expected there would be more scrutiny, I guess."

Andrius leaned back in his chair, a small smile playing at the corner of his lip.

"Do you think today was the first day we assessed you? This assessment started much earlier than you think. Today we were just assessing the ones who managed to make it to the final round."

"Nash Hayes, Maximillian Sullivan, Eric Sanders, Tomas Yassui, and Diego Ramirez. I know everything about you." Andrius continued in a light tone" Even the last time you had breakfast, or how many times you visited the bathroom per day"

Nash felt a shiver run down his spine. The thought of someone knowing such intimate details about his life was unsettling.

Andrius continued speaking, his tone calm and detached.

"As for the test, it was designed to see how you would react under pressure, how you would work in a team, and how well you could adapt to unexpected situations. It was not meant to be an exhaustive evaluation of your skills and character. That was done before you even arrived here today."

Andrius looked at them

"Are you satisfied with this answer?"

Nash nodded

"Yes sir."

Andrius looked at them intently.

"But don't get complacent. The real test starts now. You will be expected to provide 24-hour protection for me. You will be required to undergo regular training and maintain a high level of physical fitness. You will be expected to follow all orders and protocols without question. Failure to do so will result in immediate termination."

Nash wasn't expecting to hear that. He had never heard of such an intense selection process, and the fact that Andrius had been monitoring them for so long made him feel even more uneasy. But he knew he couldn't back down now, not after finally getting the chance he wanted so much.

Andrius leaned forward, his gaze intense.
"You will be responsible for my safety and well-being, and that is not a responsibility to be taken lightly. You will be trained rigorously, and you will need to be prepared for anything that comes your way. Do you understand?"

Nash nodded, with a determined gaze. He had always been a quick learner, and he was eager to prove himself.

Andrius stood up from the table, his eyes scanning the group of bodyguards.

"Good. Then let's get started. Your training begins tomorrow at 6 a.m. Be there or be dismissed."

With that, Andrius turned and left the room, leaving the group of bodyguards to read through their contracts and prepare themselves for the challenges to come.

A sense of excitement took over Nash.

He knew this job wouldn't be easy, but he was prepared.

He clenched the papers

"It's now or never"
