"Let's get some lunch now, shall we?" Dan asks and heads towards another room, me following him like a kid following a kidnapper who has promised him candy...!

We were in a big dining area and sat at an equally huge dining table which consisted of all white/ cream colored furniture with an amazing design. This house definitely has the most eloquent interiors. ( Well this is my first time going inside anyone for that matter! ).

Soon, a familiar figure enters the room. It's the same butler who had welcomed us at the door silently after noticing a sleeping Jan in my baby carrier.

This guy now standing in front of us again is wearing a neatly ironed uniform which consists of a black morning coat with a white shirt paired with a light grey vest matching grey trousers. He is also wearing a pair of white gloves which reminds me of ""Sebastian "" the demon butler from my younger days! His hair is a mixture of black & grey which are perfectly gelled backward adding to his neat attire. He has honey-brown eyes and a pair of glasses that might be adding 10 years to his actual age! He towers me by a few inches, but reaches Dan's earlobe. The man must have been a looker in his younger days with that finely trimmed beard which enhances his masculinity even more.

Shortly after , two maids appear standing on either side of him. They bow to us while the butler guy gives a quick nod and they immediately start filling the huge dining table with food that could possibly serve half of the nation!

'These guys are gonna kill you with food. Literally!' my inner Devil passes one of his lame jokes around which I let out and float around.

'As if he'll be able to run that shitty mouth once I'm dead,' I scoff with an imaginary eye roll.

After finishing his chores Arthur again takes his place, standing at the far end of the table while the maids are serving Dan and me.

"Arthur, this is Alex, he helped Pup today as Jan ran out of the school... again..." He explains his butler sighing and shaking his head disapprovingly.

"We need to talk to the principal and the teacher needs to be suspended right away," Arthur says calmly with a plastic smile, though his eyes seem to be spitting fire. 

'This man needs to be feared even by Satan!' I thought with shivers running down my spine.

"Thank you so much Alex for helping our lil Jan, please let me know if you don't like any of the food, and we'll prepare something as per your liking instantly," Arthur says with a small smile while the fire in his eyes turns into flowers in a flash.

"No problem Arthur....Jan is just so cute and well the food is more than great!" I say softly trying my hardest to keep eye contact.

He reminded me of Liz, their aura feels similar for some reason. 

"Well, that's so not fair...." Dan pouts to which Arthur and I look at him dumbfounded. 

"Alex... you barely even talked to me all along the way! Not fair! Do I scare you that much??" he asks, complaining while still wearing a small pout. 

'What the....??? I mean really??? who the hell gave him the permission to be this cute with that defying sexy face of his... And look who's talking about fairness, huh???!!

 Plus, yesss all the adult human beings are scary... Even though you're a different type altogether, I am smart enough to not say that to your face!' my thoughts travel at the speed of light.

All this while Arthur was trying to hold back his laugh, which he failed and ended up laughing with his face turned to the other side blocking Dan's view. Which made Dan pout even more...

"I'm sorry... I just didn't know what to talk about.....I'm not good with words" I try to answer him smiling shyly while fidgeting with my fork. He thankfully lightens up with that, guessing that I am not scared of him I suppose.

"Well LEXIE you can say anything to me, I won't mind" he says with a wink and that stupidly sexy grin of his making my heart do all the acrobatic stunts I could never put into practice!

 He's definitely flirting now! Didn't he say he had a girlfriend in the past which means he is definitely straight... So why is he hitting on me right now??? As for me... I don't exactly know about my sexuality, but boobs and floral perfumes are not my thing, while men...hmmm...I have had my share of bad experiences with them, but I guess a loving man's strong arms will make me feel better than a woman's soft body.

 Also, I just know that no woman would like an incompetent penniless man like me. 

However, the MAN in front of me is already bringing out a gush of new feelings within my heart, so I guess I pretty much like guys or I should say that I'm gay for certain Pup's Dad?!

"Oh sorry! Pup kept calling you Lexie so it just slipped out" Dan says in a playful tone without an ounce of sorriness! 

'It's a yes from my side. I would love this Daddy to be the end of me... anyday!'  the Devil in me whistled.

"It's fine" I blush playing with the fork and pasta on the plate. 

It's the same nickname but he makes it sound heart summersaultingly different! (And yes I made that word. Just deal with it!).

While my Chocopie makes it sound so...

Oh right, 

"Where is Jan?" I ask, suddenly feeling the emptiness. 

"He is getting changed and might be dragging some of his toys to show you along with him" Dan answers with happiness dripping his eyes.

Just then, the most adorable giggles fall on my ears... Yeah this lil cutie has the sweetest voice and I wouldn't mind listening to his gibberish all day long.

'Well I won't mind listening to that deep ass voice of his Daddy too!' the Devil humors himself... Which I completely ignore... With full approval though...

However, I always have this thought what have I ever done so bad to get these roaches inside my head 24×7×365?????

"Lexieee!" Jan appears rushing towards me with a panda bear in his hand, while a maid follows his trail worriedly.

Jan is hands down the most adorably cute kid I have ever come across, with eyes matching his Dad's green orbs but slightly lighter and golden blond hair which seem to be from his mother, because Dan's were dark dirty brown. 

His clothes have been changed from his  previous school uniform to a white t-shirt with a big blue star smiley and matching blue shorts while he has a stuffed toy clutched tightly to his side.

Whatever they wore they both looked mouth-wateringly adorable and hot RESPECTIVELY!

"Mr. Pan, say hi to my new friend Lexie" Jan says trying to make his panda bear's little hand wave at me...

I pick him with his bear and make him sit on my lap.

"Well, hi Pan-bear nice to meet you" I say playing along grabbing the two bears- one of which is quite lively too! (ie. Jan)

 He further continues to share some thoughts about his stuffed toys and his other favourite things which I enjoy listening to...

"Let's eat before the food gets cold you two" Dan says clearing his throat to get our attention... I take a peek at him and see the guy is literally having hearts in his eyes! 

"Alex, you're spoiling him way more than Arthur...." He says shaking his head and adding more food to my overfilled plate.

"Also, Arthur why do I have to always ask you to sit and have food with us? Take your seat already for the love of God!"

 Arthur complies with it after giving out a sigh, which has Dan beaming with joy like a child. 

For a second it made me think, 

'how could a woman leave a man, like Daniel and this adorable bundle of joy that is in my arms now, for whatever reason that is??? Didn't she want to get back even after this long time??? They might have just worked a way out somehow...' 

I know I should not be the one to be judging anyone since I barely knew her and the situation then.

Breaking the thought process I concentrate back to the important things at hand that's my bubble of happiness, baby Jan! 

  

Throughout our lunch, I was more than happy to feed Jan in between since he was busy playing with his bear giggling often because of his little play. Dan made small talk with Arther who answered in equally small sentences which were almost inaudible to my ears, just their lips moving were in my plain sight.

The food was so gooooddd! I might have just gained a few pounds right away with the food Arthur and Dan kept sneaking on my plate!

   Soon it was time for me to head out... It might have felt like a few hours but it was already late in the evening. 

I thanked Arthur and the maids for the delicious food. Jan had ended up falling asleep again after playing for a while... He looked so cute fighting hard to stay awake but ended up dozing off anyway.

 Dan excused himself as he went ahead to put Jan in his bed with the maids and butler clearing the table.

 I was waiting for Dan to come back so I could take my leave, when Arthur thanked me again with his small smile.

"Both of them looked so happy to have you here, it's been a while since I have seen their eyes sparkle like that, especially Dan...They're such good kids, I hope you can come again to spend time with us Alex" Arthur says with a slight bow. 

"It made me happy too..." I say shyly giving an affirmative nod.

Though it's the first time meeting them all, it felt warm and so much homely. It's sad to be leaving without saying bye to my Chocopie too.... But, I have already overstayed my welcome and Dan might start asking about things that might be difficult to answer... So it's best to leave on a good note. 

Dan finally emerges out of the room with a tight-lipped smile... The mischievousness in his eyes seems to have faded by now. 

He gestures me to follow him and walks ahead of me towards the exit rather sluggishly. He is silent throughout the little walk, glancing back in between to make sure I'm following him. 

We make it out of the first elevator and towards the exit door of the small hallway, when he suddenly stops in his tracks, the sudden impact with his back causes me to jump out of my skin and back!

"Can we meet up again? Pup will be crying his eyes out when he finds out that you left already....and.... I would like to see you again too" Dan says smiling nervously while massaging his neck.

'Hottie scarches/massages his neck when nervous. Point no. 225 noted' I mentally roll my eyes to my inner Devil's remark.

I shake my head ending the one man debate brewing inside my head. 

All this while Dan stood there with a glint of anxiety surfacing his face.

"Hey.... Alex" he finally calls out.

"I don't want to be forcing you into anything, it's just that Pup was so overjoyed to have you around I just thought you might be wanting to play with him again too... Since you looked so happy, sorry if I made you uncomfortable or overstepped my boundaries..." he rambles with imaginary drooping dog ears.

"I will come back to play with Choco... I mean Jan again. Thanks" I utter forgetting my recent contemplation.

There goes my "''Precautionary measures"'' list straight into thrash! Well whatever...

 I wanted to see Jan again too. You just can't not fall in love with that little  Sunshine! Let's just try and trust this huge German shepherd in front of me for now....and yes Dan's eyes are literally sparkling with his imaginary ears perked up and tail wagging vigorously at present! 

He really is my cute Pup's Dadda afterall! ......Anddd, it seems I have been calling Jan 'mine' for a while now.... So I guess I knew I'll be ending up coming back at some point of time... Especially when a rock-solid invitation has already been served to me that too twice, I'd definitely won't miss the opportunity! 

"I'll take you home!" Dan says in his wave of excitement and my body freezes. 

"NO!" I holler reflexively... 

A sudden realization dawns on me that I might have said that out a little louder than necessary.... Well damn me!

"Dan, I mean, I just need to get back to my job interview first, I texted them before and asked if I could drop by now, and they said yes..." I try and lie my way out.

Dan frowns not at all convinced by my poor acting skills but eventually backs off.  

"Sorry, I got a little ahead of myself.  I'll send you off here" he says sheepishly with a wide grin.

"Bye!" I say turning around quickly hiding my blushing cheeks.

'Why do these stupid cheeks of mine heat up whenever I try to speak with Dan????' I curse myself internally.

"See you later LEXIE!" Dan almost yelled, his tone higher than usual and with a satisfied look over his gorgeous face with the little stunt he pulled.

"I can call you that, right?" He asks tilting his head to one side, faking innocence as soon as I turn to look at him...

I give a nod of affirmation and just take off before he says anything else. 

'What the fuck was that??? This son-father duo are out to kill me with their cuteness!!'  I think patting my cheeks hoping to redistribute the blood away from them. 

A smile finds its way on my lips as Dan's and my Chocopie's face pop up in my head.... How long has it been since I have felt such a mixture of emotions???

 I try to play the day's events on a loop inside my head as I walk towards my destination...

I really wish that I can see the Pup and his Dad soon again!
