I glanced over to my wife. She was sitting on the couch, looking very disintrested at the ongoing events. However, I knew she was actually quite interested and was trying to appear strong. I looked out the window, towards the white ball that kept expanding. "They found us earlier than I expected." I mumbled.
Marie looked up towards me. "At least Dan isn't here." She cracked her knuckles. "It means we can go all out."
I watched as the villagers frantically tried to understand why there was a huge orb glowing in the sky, and why the sky was darkening. The truth is, they didn't know a thing. Not like we knew much either. All we knew was something was coming and that something was coming for us. The orb continued to grow larger and glow brighter.
'The time has finally arrived, Sarmal.' I told my partner. He simply huffed and began preparations. I put a palm to my eye and laughed. "Has it really come to this?" Maria gave a firm nod to me.
I put my hand down. My eye had started to glow a white and my pupil could no longer be seen. White figures with wings started pouring out of the white orb.
"I guess it really has."
