Nino watched Jay's features carefully, ensuring that he didn't pull too hard on his long hair. His loose curls framed his face. A soft smile on his lips and baby blue eyes full of love that gazed up at Nino. Nino's lonely lilac purple eye focused on the movements of his clumsy fingers. Jay sat on the floor, long hair spread over the bed with Nino dutifully brushing and braiding it. His wings laid curled in slightly in a form of relaxation. The curtains were closed this time of the day due to the way the sun would shine into the room despite the fog that constantly drifted through the forest. It was just before lunch time and Nino was determined to finish before Jay got too impatient.
"So," Nino started glancing over to the pile of treasures and weapons shoved into the corner of the room, not even half of what Jay had brought home, the rest was tucked away into a bag of holding, "What are we going to do with all of that?"
Jay peeked open an eye, "I suppose we'll have to sort through it. Along with the stuff in the bag of holding."
Nino hummed in acknowledgement going back to his task.
"But you don't have to worry about it." Jay turned braid, falling undone as he climbed onto the bed beside Nino.
"Jay!" Nino screeched, "Oh I can't belie-!" He was caught off guard as Jay planted a small peck of a kiss on his lips.
Jay settled into the bed with a mischievous little smile on his face as he looked up at Nino.
"So this wish ring… What do we do with it?" Nino mused the treasures Jay had brought home laid in piles before them.
"It's for you."
Nino sighed, glancing to his side where the pile of things Jay had brought specifically for him sat. He dropped the ring into it.
"Decide later?"
Jay nodded in confirmation. They continued sorting through the excessive amount of random things. They took days to sort through it all slowly growing more and more disorganized. Nino had been given so much jewelry and craft supplies that he was overwhelmed by it all. So many new clothes had been brought back that their clothing chest barely shut anymore. Not to mention the amount of bows, swords, and daggers that Jay had collected. Those had been given a place down in the basement. For now Nino had chosen to make a display for his new jewelry. He was currently twisting together some wire into the shape of a tree while Jay made sandwiches for lunch. Nino hummed as he heard the clack of wood in the kitchen as Jay threw another log into the wood stove, with the weather outside getting colder it was needed to heat the house. Especially since Jay was particularly weak to the cold. Jay sat a plate down in front of him then on the other side of the table and sat down.
"What're you working on again?" Jay asked before taking a bite of his sandwich.
"A jewelry stand, you've asked me five times before. You're a bit antsy today, what's up?" Nino asked, setting down his project.
Jay sighed, "Do you want to… to like, go adventuring with me? I think you'd really like it and I really want to show you so many things and I want you to meet people. I know you're scared sometimes because of your looks but I think you're really pretty and I know other people will! There's a girl I met and traveled with for a bit named Chara, she's an amazing cleric. I'd dare say I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for her!" Jay rambled.
Nino looked at him surprised.
He smiled brightly, "I'll think about it." Nino replied, picking up the wire again.
Jay nodded, smiling, "It was just an idea." He finished his food before getting up.
"I'm going to go lay down for a bit." He kissed the top of Nino's head as he walked by.
