Bela was calmly led back to her hospital room and sat down with the two girls, who introduced themselves. Emry was the “Acting Grand Keeper of the Library’s apprentice,” and the angel was Circe, who couldn’t necessarily give any information about herself. Bela was told that Circe couldn’t remember anything beyond one year ago.
This, however, wasn’t what Bela was yearning to know. It’s- Where’s am I? Why am I here? What happened? Who really are these people? Emry was worried about Bela’s “memory loss” but was happy to give her a summary of this world called Losspike, which is a world hidden within Bela’s. Losspike was first brought to life when the Dawn happened, and all ancient and primitive life on Earth was wiped clean (Bela assumed it was the Big Bang). The impact/explosion of the Dawn/Big Bang opened passageways on Earth that, over time, was hidden from plain sight but remained open. These passageways were entrances to Losspike, a world buried deep within another. Losspike didn’t exist within the Earth-it was connected to it, forever bound to its home of creation. Losspike has rules like the Earth- gravity, physics, fire gets put out by water, you need air to breathe- all the basics but there also exist wonders. Wonders are like superpowers that most of the population have and they fall into different categories, the primary wonders are called blaze, bio, aqua, frost, night and day. Each primary wonder has its own kingdom to represent it, as well as a divine beast that watches the land through the many shrines that the people set up. Then there’s secondary wonders, wonders only practiced by fairies, like astronomy, spirits, transfiguration, enchantment, and enhancement. However, there’s also the cursed wonders, the ones that those who have it have been cast out of society to fend for themselves. There are only a few known ones such as enigma, shadow, manipulation, and illusion.
Bela was(again) in a state of shock and awe. First, angel girl, second, broom riding girls, and third, SUPERPOWERS. Rain began pouring down and sliding down the tinted window as it sang a tranquil tune with each drop.
Pitter, patter, pitter, patter.
Of course, Bela still had questions despite the clarification given to her. She looked out of the window and at the new world that surrounded her. Losspike, huh? Bela thought.
“I’m from earth.” Bela finally blurted out. She looked at her two companions for some hint of shock, but instead she got wide eyes, open mouths, room pacing, window closing, door closing, and them questioning.
“Impossible! All the passageways were closed!” Emry retorted back. Her cheery voice turned loud and booming to the point that Circe had to cover her ears. “And I should know. The Library has a whole section recording everything that happens in Losspike.” she continued, rambling against Bela's "wild suggestion".
“Maybe the girl’s telling truth...” Circe interrupted, leaving Emry in a ruffled state and Bela gazing at her curiously, “Maybe she wasn’t from Losspike at all.”
After succumbing to a mysterious voice in a phone call, Bella Wellborne is now tangled in a plot to defeat a dangerous organization in the alternate, in-between world of Losspike with a magical umbrella and a group of odd folks to help her. Despite all their differences, they now have to work together to reach a common goal: Get life back to normal.
