Hell was raining down over New Horizons City. Screams could be heard all over the ground as people ran through the streets seeking shelter from the bloodshed taking place above them. Fire, debris, corpses all over the floor, people crying next to the lifeless body of a loved one, and people missing limbs, the city that once was completely made up of skyscrapers, one of the flagship cities of the new world, was now a war zone, a living hell.

Above them, on top of the skyscrapers, hundreds of espers clashed. Powerful abilities were being released all over the city, decimating it even further.

Bang!

An esper channeled his ability through his body and to his legs, dashing at full speed using the side of a skyscraper as support. Catching his enemy in mid-air, who was quick enough to react and block the attack. However, the force of the impact sent him flying against another skyscraper. Without waiting for a second the first esper channeled his telekinetic ability and sent a large piece of debris from a nearby skyscraper flying over to his enemy.

BANG!

The debris collided with the skyscraper which began crumbling down. The esper wore a white hooded suit and a black tactical vest and pants, the words HSA could be read on his back. This was an experienced step 2 control stage esper, however even if for a moment he let his guard down and sensed two approaching orbs way too late.

BOOOOM!

The two orbs exploded in a massive ball of black and red energy. On top of another skyscraper, a step 3 control stage esper could be seen creating more orbs and sending them flying in different directions. He was wearing a mask and black clothing, on his left arm, a northern star design could be seen. This was Lux Aeterna's emblem.

"Where is he?" asked a man as he arrived beside the esper, he also had Lux Aeterna's logo on his arm.

"He's arriving at the edge of the city, I'm sending another squad to intercept him," said the first esper.

"It won't be necessary, boss said the preparations are complete, there's no need to hold him anymore," said the man.

On another side of the city, a sole man could be seen dashing at incredible speed through the different buildings, heading towards the city's edge. He was a step 5 control stage esper however he moved faster than anyone on his level should be able to, becoming a blur as purple lightning surrounded him. He wore a black coat and two sheathed katanas could be seen horizontally attached to his lower back. Under normal circumstances, no sane person that was even one step above him (step 1 unity stage: between step 5 control stage and step 1 unity stage the sheer power of the esper, as well as the energy storage, is multiplied by eight), would even think of confronting him. However this night was different, and the man was covered in blood, giving him an even more intimidating look.

'I'm almost there, wait for me Mayla, Seth. To think they would send their men to die just to slow me down. This all happened because I was careless, I should have foreseen this. This is not only a mere terrorist attack no, this scale... It's a declaration of war. This world is about to go to hell. F*CK!' Michael thought. Even though he was wasting his energy storage at insane speed, it didn't matter to him if that could get him faster to Mayla and Seth. He had to save them.

Observations: truly one of the most outstanding espers that have ever existed, just after the Demon Phoenix. After the latter lost part of her ability, Purple Raijin quickly positioned himself as the most powerful one awakening esper in existence, his power rivaling the Demon Phoenix's power in her top form. Both of them being able to jump 8 power levels above them hence being even more powerful than some two awakening espers. It's truly a shame the Demon Phoenix wasn't able to get past the control stage however we still have hope for the Purple Raijin to one day make it through.

Ability: Electrokinesis

Observations: The ability of the subject is based on the control of all electromagnetic physic laws. That is to say, to create what is commonly known as "lightning" the subject manipulates the flow of positive and negative charges to create electric fields. The most direct application of his ability is hence the creation of electric fields to create lightning. Observations: the subject's state enhances his lightning's speed as well as its electromagnetic properties. Each phase comes with a greater enhancement of both of these aspects, it also transforms the visible color of the subject's lightning, from light blue to purple. Even though the subject's state doesn't improve very much his ability's destructive power, what it does improve is one of the subject's strongest points: versatility. In addition, even if the subject's state doesn't come with a direct enhancement of his ability's sheer destructive power, the improvement to its electromagnetic properties greatly enhances the subject's complex attacks (attacks made up of physic laws through complex calculations) which is something unique to the subject thanks to his great computing power.]
