Dahee Clinic

At around 1:30 PM, Kaycee enters the women's reproductive health private practice. She sees the receptionist.

“Hi, my name is Lee Kaycee. I am here for my 2 PM appointment with Doctor Choi.”

“I see, hmm... Doctor Choi is off this Saturday, but Doctor Ahn is covering for him. I could let her know.”

An irritable expression on the face of the woman quickly vanished as though it was never there. Kaycee thought that she had imagined it. 

“I am okay with seeing another doctor; how long will it take?”

 

Kaycee glanced at the name tag on the uniform worn, which read ‘Kwon Ga-eul’ in black print.

“There is not a long wait; I am Nurse Kwon. Please take a seat and fill out this form so Doctor Ahn can see you.”

Kaycee nodded in agreement as she took the clipboard containing the form from Kwon Ga-eul; once she settled on one of the seats in the waiting area by the front desk, Kaycee took out her phone and earbuds to listen to some music while completing the form in front of her.

In 10 minutes, Kaycee was in a surgical gown and was being walked into a room by the nurse. Kaycee could not help looking around as she saw a bed nearby.

“Please lie down on your back. I will help you raise your hips with the stirrups. It gives the doctor more visibility during the procedure.”

Kaycee felt terrified as she watched the nurse secure her legs on what looked to be metal rods. Everything went by in a daze; before she knew it, a person covered in surgical garb strode into the room.
