Read Someone to Mend Me :: Meet The Pfäffer Sisters

Kuro and Taiga have finally reached Ramen Hut, a place that sells custom and specialty ramen. The two approached the cash register. Kuro received a big wad of yen from Alfred. 100¥, to be exact. He turned to Taiga. "What kind of ramen do you want?"

She was still looking at the menu, stumped at what to get, as she didn't want to order a whole lot of food, unlike some females on the first date.

He requested, "I'll take the DIY. I want ramen noodles, beef broth, brisket, meatballs, fried garlic, chashu, cabbage, and egg. Also wanna share an appetizer."

The cashier pointed out, "That's our 20¥ deal: Two entrées and one appetizer to share." The cashier had a yellow, plaid shirt, made from the same material as POLO shirts. He also had grey, Coke-bottle glasses. He looked like your average nerd who reads comics and whatnot.

"I'll take that then, and for the app, I want karaage ch-"

Three blonde-haired, dolled-up girls enter the Ramen Hut; they each have different hairstyles. They were also wearing Gucci dresses; the dresses were white. "If it ain't Taiga and Co," one of them said snarkily. "I see you have a boyfriend." They walked into the light. "I'm Linda Pfaffer. This is Lila and Lillian."

"I'm Kuro," he introduced himself, extending his hand for a handshake. But the three turned aloof, declining his friendly demeanor. "Well, fine then!" He turned his head aloof. He whispered to Taiga, "Why are they acting so mean? It's like a low-budget Mean Girls remake."

"They're like the popular girls," she replied. "They've been spoiled by her father, who owns a chain of German restaurants. I'm talking vacations abroad, fancy trips around Japan, the works!"

The three approached the counter. Linda demanded, "Give us the curry ramen, and make it snappy, slave!"

The worker stammered, "D-D-Didn't you guys break out in a rash from your curry aller-"

"Are you MY DOCTOR? NO, you're not. Now hand it-"

Kuro stood up. "First, you guys cut in front of us! Now, you're trying to berate this poor worker."

He stammered, "I-It's Shikaru."

"Yeah, Shikaru." He turned back around to the gorgons. "You guys need to know that the world does not just revolve around you! Anyways, you can go on ahead and continue ordering. I hope you two break out in an allergenic rash!" He steps aside.

Lila turned around to her triplet sisters. "You know, I don't want ramen anymore. Let's bounce, girls." The two walked off.

Shikaru got out of the corner. "Thanks so much for defending us!" He shook Kuro's hand. "As thanks, I'll comp your meal and your dates meal. I'll also give you free karaage chicken!"

"Thanks..." Kuro was speechless, but he was happy Shikaru is showing thanks to Kuro and Taiga for defending him from those Jezebels.

Shikaru gave the two there food. "I can't thank you enough for defending us!" He was overwhelmed by his emotions. "Anything else, just give us a call." He walked off to his cash register.

Taiga looked into Kuro's eyes. "You're so brave. Least I know you'll take up for me." The two started slurping their ramen. Kuro stabbed a piece of rolled chashu with his plastic fork, eating a piece off the pork product.

"So, how'd you know the Pfäffer sisters?" Kuro asked.

"Seventh grade, when we moved back to Japan. They would shove me in a locker, make fun of my clothes, and make fun of my dead mom. I was too weak to do anything... I could've gotten my brother, but he was in college at the time."

"I saw they could be mean pieces of garbage. What drove them to doing that kind of stuff? Maybe it's because they were never told, 'No,' a day in their lives..."

The two started to dive into the karaage chicken.
