What’s really sad is that…

I really loved you, and things just didn’t work out

But maybe that’s for the best

We both did wrong, I’m no Girl Scout

What’s really sad is that…

I’ve always wished things could be different but they can’t

Life always works out that way

As cliché as it sounds, we only get one chance

What’s really sad is that…

I know we’ve both moved on but our hearts are still broken

I don’t know if they’ll ever fully heal

I just know that there will always be words that are left unspoken

What’s really sad is that…

I loved you then, and I love you now, and I will love you until I die

Nothing will ever change that

But you know at some point we will really have to say Goodbye

What makes me glad is that…

There’s still so much hope for our futures in this life

And though we will live them separately 

The pieces of these puzzles will all come together in time.
