The omega bodyguard

Oath

Oath

Mar 29, 2023

Andrius was standing alone on the terrace of the Yaskov Group building, staring out at the city below.

The earlier confrontation had left the man more upset than he liked to admit. Nash approached his employer and placed a hand on his shoulder, silently offering support. He knew that sometimes having someone there was enough to ease the burden of a heavy heart.

"Sir," Nash said as he cleared his throat. "May I tell you a story?"

Andrius remained silent. This, in Nash's opinion, was a sufficient invitation.

"A few years ago, I was working as a bodyguard for some business," Nash said vaguely, and although Andrius claimed he investigated his background, he didn't feel the need to say that he was working for the underground arena. "I had to guard an alpha who came to visit, and when he discovered I was an omega, he was not pleased, to say the least."

Andrius kept his gaze on the night sky, his body leaning on the rail.

"He complained about me the whole evening, trying to belittle me in every way possible." Nash sighed as he recalled the incident. He remembered how the alpha tried to sexually harass him and said things about how he should be fighting on the bed, not in the arena. "I knew I had to keep my cool and remain professional, but it was one of the toughest assignments I've ever had."

"Anyway, a few things happened, and we ended up being chased by some thugs," Nash chuckled "That guy was completely useless, trembling like a newborn deer. I managed to defeat all the gangsters, and when I turned around, I saw that the guy had shitted in his pants. It was so satisfying."

Andrius laughed, and Nash thought his mood had lifted. However, he didn't notice the clenched fists or the dark glint on the man's eyes.

"Now, every time things are not going well for me, I remember that scene." Nash chuckled. " It reminds me of what I'm capable of."

"What I want to say, sir," Nash scratched his head, "is that no matter how people want to bring you down, you have the strength to rise above it. I believe in you, sir. You're capable of doing anything you set your mind to. And you're going to be a brilliant businessman and kick every single one of those assholes in the ass. I just know it."
Andrius looked at the starry sky.

"I'm not sad."

Eh? You're not?! Nash couldn't help but exclain before covering his mouth with his hands.
Andrius chuckled, still looking toward the sky.

"Hmm. "He's not worth it." he hesitated "It's just... it made my resolution stronger."

"I'm sorry, sir!" Nash was flustered, not knowing where to look. "I went off my limits."

As they stood in silence, Nash felt a sense of unease. He wondered what Andrius was thinking and if he had said too much. Then, finally, Andrius spoke, his voice quiet.

"Nash," he said quietly. "What do you think about me?"

Nash's heart skipped a beat as he wondered what Andrius was getting at. He took a deep breath and carefully chose his words before responding.

"I think you're a very driven and determined person, sir," he began. "You have a clear vision of what you want, and you're not afraid to work hard to achieve it. And that's something I truly admire."
Andrius nodded slowly, his eyes fixed on Nash.

"But?" he prompted, his tone challenging.

"But... I also think you can be a bit... cold and too harsh on yourself at times."

He held his breath, waiting for Andrius's response. Nash knew he had overstepped his boundaries right now. What he said might be a bit too much, but he truly was worried about his young master. He knew what it was like to be someone against the world, someone going against the odds and norms. That's exactly why he said that to Andrius.

He didn't want the man to feel alone in his struggles and wanted to offer support in any way he could, even if it meant being a bit blunt or direct in his words.

Andrius remained silent for a long moment, still staring up at the stars, his expression unreadable. Finally, he spoke.

"You're right," he said softly. "I am cold. I have to be. It's the only way to survive in this world." He turned his gaze to Nash, his eyes shining with a mysterious glint. "But sometimes... I wonder if it's worth it. If all this success is worth sacrificing everything else,"

Nash didn't know what to say. He was talented with his fists, not his words. After carefully thinking it through for a long time, the bodyguard took a deep breath before speaking, his voice steady and unwavering.

"Sir, I may not know the weight of your burdens or the depth of your struggles, but what I do know is how to fight," he said firmly. " I know how to stand strong in the face of adversity, to never back down, and to always keep fighting."

He paused for a moment, his eyes locking with Andrius's.

"I have fought battles, both physical and emotional, all my life," he continued. "And I have always emerged victorious. I know what it takes to win—to persevere through the toughest of times."

Nash took a step forward, closing the distance between him and his employer.

"And I want you to know, sir, that I will be here for you." He continued, his voice filled with conviction. "I will not let anyone harm you or bring you down. I will fight alongside you every step of the way to ensure your safety and your success."

He paused, his eyes locked on his employer's.

"I may not be able to take away your pain or solve all your problems, but I can promise you this: I will be by your side every step of the way. I will be your ally, your confidant, and your defender. And together, we will win."
Nash took a step forward, his posture was strong and determined.

"I will be your shield and your sword, sir," he declared. "I will stand between you and your enemies, and I will strike them down with all the power and skill at my disposal. You can count on me to be there for you, no matter what."
Nash fell silent, his heart pounding in his chest as he waited for Andrius's response. He knew that his words were bold and daring, but he also knew that they came from the deepest part of his soul. He was ready to fight for Andrius, the first man to ever give him an opportunity to prove himself no matter the cost.

Andrius stared intently at Nash for a moment, before turning his gaze back at the night scenario

"Well then," Andrius said, his tone like a gentle whisper. "It's a deal."

It took Nash a few minutes to understand what his employer was implying, and when he did, his face lit up with a wide grin.

"It's a deal, sir."

The two men stood on the terrace for a few more minutes, gazing out at the city below. No more words were needed between them; they didn't need them. In this comforting silence, Nash felt a little closer to his Omega employer.

'Whatever comes our way, we'll face it together.'
